Let’s look at the metro, which is a tough division with one real standout.

All the teams in the Metro Division are listed below and also listed are the odds for them to win the division. The odds will change but this is a list of what we find on average.

Metro Division Winners Betting Tips
The Metro is a tough division and there is a handful of teams who could challenge for 1st but one team stands out.
I went with the Canes to win it. They are atacked offensively with Aho, Svechnikov, Ehlers, Hall, Jarvis, Blake, Stankovan, Staal and Martinook to give them a great top 9.
On defense they have Slavin, Miller, Gostisbehere, Walker and Chatfield. In goal the have Andersen and Kochetkov who provide them woth stable goaltending.
I don’t see any weaknesses on this team and I expect them to challenge for top spot in the Metro all season.

Metro Division Betting Analysis
New Jersey Devils
The Devils will be a good team this year they just need to stay healthy.
The have Jack Hughes who will led the eay and he is joined by Bratt, Hischier, Meier, Noesen, Palat and Mercer giving them goos depth which is crucial in today’s NHL.
On defense they have Hamilton, Dillon, Luke Hughes, Pesce and Kovacevic.
In nets they have a two headed goalie tandem with Markstrom and Allen both capable of taking the reins and going on a win streak.

New York Rangers
The Rangers are going to take a step bavk this season in my opinion. They moved some players and didn’t replace them.
The are led offensively by Panarin, Zibanejad, Miller, Trochek and Lafreniere. The moved their longtime fam favorite Kreider so they need Cuylle and some of their young players like Perreault will need to step up.
On defense its Fox who is joined by Gavrikov, Schneider and Borgen. Miller was traded so they’ll need to find help.
In goal its Shesterkin and they are in good hands in that department. Quicl will again be the backup but his numbers dropped off last season.

Washington Capitals
The Caps continue to surprise me. Last season they came out and won the the Eastern Conference. A big part of that was the team getting behind Ovechkin amd hos pursuit of the goal record. Now that he has it I wonder if the team will show the determination they did past season.
They are led by Ovechkin in his 21st season. He is joined by Strome, Protas, Dubois, Wilson and McMichael. Leonard didn’t look out of place in the playoffs so I expect him to help.
On defense its still Carlson but at 35 can he still be the go to guy? He’s joined by Chychrun, Sandin and Fehervary to round out their top 4. In goal it’s Thompson who had am amazing season and Lindgren.

Columbus Blue Jackets
The Jackets are anpther team who os counting on their youngsters to take the next step.
They are led by Monahan, Marchenko, Voronkov and Coyle. Fantilli, Johnson and Sillinger should improve on already impressive seasons.
The defense is still led by Werenski who is joined by Fabbro, Provorov, Severson and Mateychuk to form a solid defensive group.
In goal its Merzlikins who will be backed up by Jet Greaves.

New York Islanders
The Islanders just show up each season and expect their players to somehow turn into superstars but it doesn’t work that way.
They have Horvat, Palmieri, Drouin, Lee and Barzal. For depth they have Duclair, Pageau, Holmstrom and Cizikas.
On defense they lost Dobson but will be led by Romanov, DeAngelo, Pulock and Mayfield. First overall pick Schaefer is probably why they let Dobson walk.
In goal it’s Sorokin who is a good goalie and hes backed up by Varlamov.

Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers have a good mix of youngsters and vets.
They are led by Konecny who is joined on the top line by Couturier and Michkov. They have Zegras, Tippett, Brink, Foerster and Cates all ready to take the next step in their development and help the Flyers become relevant again.
On defense its Sanheim, Ristolainen, Drysdale and Seeler give them a decent top 4.
In goal is the Flyers biggest problem and it has been for as long as I can remember. They have Ersson as the starter and they brought in Vlader to be the backup. Having at least goaltending that hovers around the league average would go a long way towards getting the Flyers back into the postseason.

Pittsburgh Penguins
It’s hard to see the Penguins ranked so low here when they still have Crosby and Malkin. But Crosby is 38 and Malkin is 39. This team is full of veterans and depending on how the season goes im curious to see who will all still be on the team by the end of the season. The have Rakell, Rust, Heinen and Mantha to help.
On defense its Letang who’s also 38 years old. Karlsson whos 35, Dumba, Graves and Clifton. This team isnt lacking experience on defense.
In goal it’s Jarry who will be backed up by Silovs and should he falter then they have Blomqvist and Murashov as prospects who could earn playing time.
