Hopefully all of our Canadian readers had a great Thanksgiving weekend and gorged themselves with a pile of turkey and all the fixings. Technically today is Thanksgiving but most celebrated on the Sunday before.
Only the 1 game yesterday it was the Caps beating the Rangers 1-0.
There is 10 games scheduled for today. These are going to be short as I had too much turkey and beer and I’m a little sleepy today.
Avalanche vs Sabres
The Avalanche lost to the Stars but it was in a shootout so they gained a point.
The Sabres lost on Saturday 3-1 to the Bruins.
I do like the Avs here based on how both teams have played so far.

Jets vs Islanders
Scheifele scored twice in their last game to beat the Kings 3-2.
The Islanders lost against the Caps 4-2 with Schaefer scoring his first goal of his career.
I would say the Jets should win this but the Isles are going to have momentum from the way Schaefer has been playing so I’m staying away.
Predators vs Senators
The Preds lost 3-2 to the Mammoth in overtime.
The Sens lost 6-2 against the Panthers allowing 3 powerplay goals.
Like Graeme said, it’s too early to say we aren’t tipping the Preds. I need to see more from Sens so it’s a pass.
Lightning vs Bruins
The Lightning are coming off of a 5-3 loss to the Devils where they had only 17 ahots on goal.
The Bruins beat the Sabres 3-1 and are now 3-0 this season.
The Bruins have scored 10 goals over 3 games and the Lightning have allowed 10 goals over 2 games. The outcome of the games played by these teams so far is the opposite of what I expected so I’m passing.
Wings vs Leafs
These teams just played on Saturday.
Panthers vs Flyers
These teams just played on Thursday so easy pass for me.
Devils vs Jackets
The Devils beat the Lightning 5-3 on Saturday and looked good.
The Jackets beat the Wild 7-4 with Marchenko scoring a hat trick.
After the win against the Wild its hard to count out the Jackets.
Blues vs Canucks
Blues picked up their first win in the last game against the Flames 4-2.
The Canucks lost 3-1 to the Oilers.
Both teams are 1-1 with both wins coming against the Flames. This is to close to call.
Kings vs Wild
The Kings lost their last game 3-2 against the Jets and are 1-2 on the season with their win coming in a shootout.
The Wild lost against the Jackets 7-4 but Kaprizov scored twice and added an assist.
I want to see how the Wild play after taking that loss.
Mammoth vs Blackhawks
The Mammoth picked up their first win of the season when they beat the Preds 3-2 in overtime. Cooley and Guenther both scored.
The Hawks lost 3-2 on Saturday against the Habs and are 0-2-1 so far. Bedard has been playing well and for me thats a fantastic sign.
Either team has shown me anything to give me confidence in them so I’m good passing on this.
