There was 8 games yesterday.
The Rangers are the first team ever to be shut out in the opening 3 games at home. They lost 2-0 to the Oilers. The Stars beat the Wild 5-2 and are now 3-0 on the season.
The Habs beat the Kraken 5-4 in OT, the Leafs beat the Preds 7-4, the Caps beat the Lightning 3-2 in OT, the Canes stay unbeaten after they beat the Sharks 5-1 and the Ducks beat the Penguins 4-3.
Four games scheduled for tonight
Senators vs Sabres
The Sens are 1-2 on the season and they should view this game as one where they can turn things around. But Tkachuk is going to miss about a month with a wrist injury.
The Sabres are 0-3 and have scored only twice. Tage Thompson gave some rough answers to the media in regards to his teams play and fans are throwing jerseys on the ice.
I feel like I have to tip against the Sabres at the moment as they are playing like shit.

Panthers vs Red Wings
The Panthers took their first loss of the season on Monday and are now 3-1-0 this season.
The Wings lost their first game but have won their last two beating the Maple Leafs both times.
This could actually be a close game and I’m having troubles finding something to tip for it.
Flames vs Mammoth
The Flames played yesterday and lost 4-2 to the Knights.
The Mammoth are 1-2 with the win coming in overtime against the Predators.
With the Flames playing yesterday and the Mammoth a tough team to call this early in the season its a pass for me.
Blackhawks vs Blues
The Hawks are coming in to this game off of their first win of the season. It was against the Mammoth but they have to take the wins when and where they can get them.
The Blues are 2-1-0 this season with wins against the Flames and Canucks.
This is a big rivalry game that goes back to the 1970’s. I would lean towards a Blues win which would have to be -1.5 but the Hawks got their first and are at home so they may have a decent effort here.
Flames ML is quite tempting 😏
I’m so far not at all impressed by the mammoths. Sens makes lot of sense, I also feel Blues is pretty given; haven’t checked the odds but hopefully -1.0 is enough.
Scott, I believe you’ll extend your winning streak – very impressive indeed this early on!
These matchups are snoozers and it’s Wednesday, an NHLers weekend. No bets. My one lean would be an Over 5.0 in the Florida/Detroit game, but no cash in that.
