There was only 3 games yesterday.
I had the Wings to beat the Sabres but the Sabres won 4-2 for their 3rd win of the season snapping the Red Wings win streak at 5 games.
The Devils beat the Wild 4-1 with Daws making 29 saves for the win in his season debut. The Canadiens beat the Flames 2-1 in overtime
We have 12 tonight.
Blackhawks vs Lightning
The Hawks won their last game 2-1 against the Ducks. Their last 2 games needed extra time.
Despite what the record shows, I can’t believe how rough of a start the Lightning have had. They are on a 3 game losing skid and are 1-3-2 this season.
Would have to take the Lightning -1.5 but with the way they have played I’m not doing that.
Flyers vs Senators
Flyers are on a 2 game win streak. They have had a fairly tough schedule to start the season and welcome a game against a struggling team.
The Sens are 2-4-1 this season and come into this game on a two game losing skid.
On the road the Flyers have gone 0-1-0 so not much to go off of, the Sens are 1-2-1 at home so not the strongest start in Ottawa.
Both teams have struggled so I have to pass.
Penguins vs Panthers
Penguins are on a 3 game win streak beating the Canucks, Sharks and Kings.
The Panthers are 4-4 this season and are coming off of an emotional win against the Bruins.
I think the Pens are playing better than they actually are and the Panthers are dealing with injuries so they are playing up to their potential. I have to pass.
Sharks vs Rangers
Sharks are on a 6 game losing skid and are unbackable.
The Rangers are 1-3-1 in last 5, 0-4-0 at home and are also unbackable right now.
Red Wings vs Islanders
Wings played yesterday so I’m off of them especially after they had that win streak snapped by, of all teams, the Sabres.
The Islanders are on a 3 game win streak after starting the season with a 3 game skid. Sure the win streak looks nice and will give the team some momentum but looking at the teams they beat and I’m not that impressed.
Ducks vs Bruins
The Ducks have gone 3-2-1 to start the season. Looking at their record and I see that they went to overtime with the Hawks and Sharks. When two of the worst teams over the past few seasons take you the distance it’s not reassuring.
The Bruins are on a 5 game losing skid and need to snap it and fast or the season will get away from them.
Either team gives me any confidence so I’m staying away.
Mammoth vs Blues
Mammoth have been playing well and have a 5-2-0 record. But on the road they have gone 1-2-0.
The Blues are 3-2-1 and at home they are 1-2-1.
Either team has been strong based on where they are playing.
Would lean towards the Mammoth but again their success has came at home so far this season.
Canucks vs Predators
Nothing here for me.
Kraken vs Jets
The Kraken have lost their last 2 games and are 3-2-2 this season. They have had 7
4 of their 7 games go to extra time.
The Jets are on a run at the moment. They lost game one but have rattled off 5 straight wins since.
I want to take the Jets here and it would need to at least be in regulation. Looking at the Kraken and their results all the overtime has me worried. But the Jets have won all 5 of their games in regulation and only 2 of them were 1 goal games so that’s enough for me.
Jets win in regulation

Kings vs Stars
The Kings won their last game 2-1 in overtime against the Blues which snapped their losing skid at 4 games. They have played 7 games this season and 4 have needed extra time.
The Stars opened the season winning their first 3 games and looked like a legit Stanley Cup contender. They have dropped the next 3 games and are 3-3-0 this season.
Kings too many overtimes and the Stars on the losing streak so it’s a pass for me.
Hurricanes vs Avalanche
Big game here between two of the best in the league.
The Canes are in 2nd in the Metro and are 5-1-0 this season and 3-1-0 on the road.
The Avs are 5-0-2 so far and have gone 2-0-1 in Colorado.
I want to take the Over here but I am nervous as the Canes already burnt me once this season. They are averaging 4.00 GPG which is ranked 2nd. The Avs are averaging 3.43 which has them ranked 6th.
My issue is the Avs are the top ranked defensive team but when two of the top teams clash they surely are going to want to one up each other.
Over 6 incl OT/SO

Canadiens vs Oilers
The Habs played yesterday so not touching them.
The Oilers are 3-3-1 this season so they are playing .500 hockey so far. Its hard to back a team when they play like that. Good news for the Oilers is McDavid finally scored his first goal of the season.

over what?? 🙂
6 🙂 Thanks got Scott to update it
Winnipeg’s record is amazing BUT advanced stats they look like shit, LOL. Helle keeping them in big time here?
Man. Im torn. Dont see much… so i like your tips. dig deeper,,, both Col/Car play really well in front of their goalies and dont allow many shots HOWEVER both teams get an insane amount of SF/60… against other teams??? Both goalies have great GAA… this should be an interesting good game actually.
I like the difference between the 2 calls… sometimes i can tell your on gut feeling calls,,, sometimes data can muddy a “feeling” eh…
Anyways,,, little off topic but Bo Bichette is practising fielding at 2nd? Running and hitting?? 🤞🏻
Habs are 6-1, +180 odds and Oilers are 3-3-1 and-230… what am I missing? I get B2b and home advantage but surly there’s some value there
Thats a good point. Im really enjoying watching the Habs to be honest…
