Only the one game yesterday.
The Jackets welcomed the Leafs into town and beat them 6-3. The Jackets scored the first 2 goals and Leafs answered with one of their own then the Jackets answered with 4 straight. Primeau played like shit posting a a 6.21 GAA and a .750 save percentage for the Leafs.
For tonight we have 11 games scheduled. Most of the odds are garbage but lets see what there is.
Flames vs Senators
The Flames lost their last game and are 1-8-1 in the last 10 games. They have gone 1-5-0 on the road.
The Sens also last their last game and are 4-5-1 in last 10. They are 3-2-1 at home.
The Sens are having any trouble scoring as they rank 5th averaging 3.64 but they also cant stop the opposition from scoring as the are allowing 4.00 which ranks 30th.
The Sens are heavy favourites here and would have to take them in regulation and it’s not worth it in my opinion.
Predators vs Flyers
The Preds have lost 2 in a row and are 3-5-2 in last 10. On the road they have gone 1-2-1. They rank 29th in goals and 23rd in goals against.
The Flyers have won their last 2 games, and are 5-3-1 and have gone 5-1-0 at home.
They rank 27th in GPG with 2.67 but rank 7th in GAPG with 2.56. So they dont score a lot but also dont allow many.
The Preds last two game were lost by multiple goals so Flyers look like a play here
Flyers in regulation

Stars vs Lightning
The Stars are on a 3 game win streak and are 6-3-1 this season. On the road they have gone 3-1-0.
The Lightning are also on a 3 game win streak and have gone 4-4-2 this season. At home they haven’t been great yet going 2-3-0.
Both teams rank in the 20’s for GPG and SOG and they are tied for 12th in GAPG.
Tough game to call as both teams are better than the records show us and it’s only a matter of time until they get going.
Sabres vs Bruins
The Sabres are 4-4-2 this season, have lost their last 2 games and have gone 0-2-1 on the road.
The Bruins are 3-7-0 in last 10 and are 4-3-0 at home.
Either team has shown me anything worth betting on so I’m out.
Islanders vs Hurricanes
The Isles are 4-4-1 so far and are on a 2 game losing skid which follows a 4 game win streak. They are 1-2-1 on the road and score the same number of goals per game as they allow with 3.56.
The Canes are also on a 2 game losing skid and have gone 6-3-0 this season. At home they are 2-1-0. They’re ranked 4th in GPG and 3rd in SOG.
I like Canes here but it needs to be in regulation and that just barely gets us over our minimum so I have to pass.
Blackhawks vs Jets
Hawks coming off of that 7 goal win against the Sens woth Bedard scoring his first NHL hat trick. They are 5-3-2 this season and 2-1-1 on the road. They are 14th in GPG with 3.30 and 3rd in GAPG with 2.50.
The Jets are coming in to this game off of the overtime win against the Wild. They have gone 7-3-0 this season and are 3-3-0 at home. They are 13th in GPG and are tied with the Hawks for 14th in GAPG at 2.50.
On paper this is actually a much closer game than the sportsbooks give it credit for. Of the Hawks 3 regulation losses only one was by more than a single goal. I’m close to taking the Hawks +1.5 but I just can’t make it a tip.
Penguins vs Wild
The Pens have gotten off to a good start this season. They are 7-2-2 and 4-1-1 on the road. They are ranked 5th in both GPG and GAPG.
The Wild have lost 4 in a row and are 1-1-2 at home. 25th in GPG and 29th in GAPG jind of explains their struggles.
I’m personally not yet buying the Penguins and I think they are riding a nice hot streak and clearly I can’t take the Wild so it’s a pass for me.
Canucks vs Blues
To save myself some energy, there is nothing I like here.
Rangers vs Oilers
The Rangers continue to be a bottom of the standings team. They have gone 4-5-2, are in 7th in the Metro but have gone 4-1-1 on the road which is much better than their 0-4-1 home record.
The Oilers had a comeback win against the Mammoth in their last game, they’re 5-4-2 and 3-0-1 at home. They are ranked 17th in both GPG and GAPG.
I want to take the Oilers here and it would have to be in regulation but 2 of their last 5 games have needed extra time.
Devils vs Sharks
The Devils lost their last game but had won 8 in a row before that. They have gone 8-2-0 this season and are 3-2-0 away from New Jersey. They are 1st in GPG and 12th in GAPG.
The Sharks are 2-6-2 this season and are 0-3-2 at home. They are in 16th for GPG and 32nd in GAPG allowing 4.60.
I want to take the Devils but it would have to be -1.5 and they are on the road so it’s a tough call.
Red Wings vs Kings
Wings are 7-3-0 this season, on a 2 game win streak and have gone 2-2-0 on the road. They are 10th in GPG and 19th in GAPG.
The Kings are also on a 2 game win streak and have gone 5-2-3 in their last 10 games. At home they have gone 0-2-1 and rank 20th in GPG and 17th in GAPG.
The Kings are the favourites here so much so that I want to throw something on the Wings to win.

Full game OVER 5.0: Flames/Sens
To WIN moneyline: New Jersey
Leans: 1) puckline win: New Jersey
2) Ottawa’s Batherson OVER 0.0 assists
The problem with the Jersey game is that it breaks the 80-20 rule and Jersey may take the night off against such a horrible team in a different Conference. New Jersey is reasonably well rested for what this season offers. After this game they play LA and Anaheim on a back-to-back, still on the road, who will provide much more difficult defense, and then get 3 days off. So they should want the points tonight, but when did that ever matter? LOL
San Jose has been losing on the puckline against the better teams. Ottawa’s Batherson getting an assist is perhaps IFFY, because Ottawa is playing on one day’s rest after a back-to-back and they’ll typically weaken in the 2nd and 3rd periods. But he’s been consistent.
