Happy Halloween!
Scott had just the one play yesterday, and it came in with ease as the Flyers beat the Predators to win his underdog Flyers in regulation bet.
He called it with the Red Wings that there was value on them, as they were able to beat the Kings in a shootout.
The Devils got thumped by the Sharks 5-2, and Oilers continue to be a mess. It’s beyond the point of just blaming Skinner. Bouchard is having a ‘mare of a start to the season, and the whole team just seems to be lacking.
Game 6 tonight as the Jays look to take the World Series. Going to be a fun night watching adults rush their kids trick or treating as fast as humanly possible. I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot of leftover candy.
Three games today with an early start in Knights vs Avs.
Knights vs Avs
Knights come off a difficult road trip and return home where they have performed well this season. That road win over the Canes was great. Avs had that banger win over the Devils and a lot of high scoring games lately.
Bookies have this about a coinflip and I do agree it’s a tricky one to call on the outlook. Let’s see if the advanced metrics have anything as my gut is leaning Knights.
Aaand no. Avs with much better CF% and FF% and SF%, better xG stats etc even though GF% is pretty much the same. If I break it down to 5 vs 5 its similar but with some more erratic numbers for the Avs.
No play here as bookies seem to have the odds on the money. Avs by the metrics the better side, negated somewhat by Knights at home.
Capitals vs Islanders
Caps on a 2 game skid looking to win at home here and are heavily favoured. Islanders on a B2B and it’s been a tough road trip for them so far.
I’m not seeing anything here. By the metrics, the Islanders are a good value bet but it’s just hard to bet the Islanders right now. Especially on a B2B. The xG data suggests a high scoring game but Caps goaltending has been on point. Even if Logan isn’t in there’s not enough data on Lindgren this season.
Ducks vs Wings
Bookies have this at about coinflip odds probably for the same reason I do; after both teams having played 9 and 10 games – who the f knows. Very close game. By the xG data it could go over and if the line was 6 I’d back it.

No bets for me today. Caps game possibly going Over 6.0, with Ovie looking for #900 and the Islanders full of holes. I looked for some Caps props but they spread their scoring around, so no dice today. Detroit “should” win, but nothing interesting about that game that I see. I usually don’t bet Avs games because they’re undependable from a betting perspective.
Happy Haunting, Let’s Go Jays!
Lets Go Jays for sure. Lots of pressure and that damn Yamamoto… but its the Jays, they can make him work for it hopefully.
The amount of goals and totals so far this season. Wow!
Only thing im seeing in hockey is a goalie prop on Thompson.
