Only the 2 games yesterday.

Our tip was the Panthers – Blues game to go over but this didn’t happen when the Panthers won 2-1 for their 5th straight victory.  With the win the Panthers moved past the Leafs and the Bruins and are now in 7th place in the East.

The other game was the Ducks vs the Coyotes and the Coyotes won 3-2.  The Coyotes jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st, the Ducks clawed back but came up short.

A much better night of hockey for us with 9 games.

Islanders vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

Both of these teams are out of the playoffs at the moment.

The Islanders are in 10th but only 2 points behind the 8th place Bruins with a game in hand.  The Red Wings are in 15th place and 8 points behind 8th.

Both teams have a shot at the playoffs but for the Wings their road is a lot tougher.  But they have made the playoffs for so many consecutive years and they will be fighting right until the very end.

Over the 10 games between these teams there has been an average of 5.80 GPG including their last meeting, a 5-4 Wings win on February 3rd.

I like this to be a high scoring game between 2 teams with lots on the line.

Penguins vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:

The Penguins have gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games against the Hurricanes.  They come into this game on a 2 game losing skid.

The Hurricanes have lost 4 in a row and are 3-6-1 over their last 10 games.  They are in last place in the East.

With the Pens having success against the Canes and needing to stop their losing skid I like their chances in this one.

Penguins win incl OT/SO

Everyone Else: 1.76 Odds at Bet365

Senators vs Devils Betting Tips:

The Senators have been hit hard by injuries.  They are going to be without Mike Hoffman, Mark Stone and Bobby Ryan for this game so instantly you have to like the Devils chances.

And then you look at the results from the last 10 meetings of these teams and you see the Devils have the edge there too going 6-3-1.

Devils win incl OT/SO

  • Jeremy Patoine

    my pick for tonight

    Pitts over Carolina

    Mtl over Rangers

    Wings over Islander

    Leafs over Jets

    though?

  • Jeff Douglas

Hey guys, love the tips…Thoughts on Rangers over habs?

    • Graeme (BetNHL.ca)

I’d think Rangers should cream us, however Juliens first real game if we discount the Jets one due to a bye week. Was just enough to put us off it.

    • Henry Del Valle Sr.

I agree with Graeme’s thoughts on this game. I want to play Rangers here based on their recent play. Lundqvist has been terrific in goal, going 6-1 recently. I wonder if this could be a letdown spot after beating the Caps. Habs have been pretty bad but this is a place where they’ve had success at. And as Graeme says, Habs could be benefiting of a few days of practice under Julien. I lean the Over here.

      • slyNHL

Same thoughts. Think tonight is the night to show some atacking skills which they’ve lost pouring their previous coach…
Over 5 about 1.80 is a good value imho

    • Henry Del Valle Sr.

If you like NYR, try this trend: Rangers are 19-6 when revenging a loss to an opponent. Remember the Habs chased Lundqvist in Montreal with 5 goals???

    • Mojo

Habs going to wake up at some point. Have a feeling its tonight

  • Ben862

Good value on Oilers and Flames ML tonight?

    • Orhan Cypriot Ugurcag

Don’t see Oilers beating Lightning right now

  • slyNHL

Why there is no bet on OVER in Leafs vs Jets game?
Thought it was the most obvious one tonight. Or do we miss such an obvious picks? Then why Penguins is there? 😀

    • Henry Del Valle Sr.

I have been missing more than I would like on Toronto Overs. When it seems obvious it should be an “Over” game it doesn’t end up being so. This could be a 3-2 game.

      • slyNHL

Noticed same trouble there. But still cant find enough power in myself to bet under in such games…

      • NHL Daily Tips

Agree with you on this one! Have you considered maybe Jets TT over 2.5?

        • Henry Del Valle Sr.

When I penciled down my plays and thoughts, I did not consider this one. But it may be worth another look. Laine has been on fire. But this could be one of these games where Anderson pitches a shutout. It could be a 2-2 game that gets decided in OT/SO and I haven’t a clue which side that will be. Both teams coming off huge wins. Can Jets pull off 3 straight upsets? Man, that’s tough to call.

          • NHL Daily Tips

            Definitely.
But ive been recording a lot of matches to do some analysing and I watched the Jets against Sens. The Jets just had so much flow at the offence I just can’t see Leafs def and Anderson keeping it together at the back.

    • Graeme (BetNHL.ca)

6 was slightly off-putting and the loss of Marner is a big factor I feel. He’s been a huge part of the Leafs offense and not sure how they’ll do without him. First game after a big loss like that isn’t usually so bad it’s the follow up games.

In saying that Scott messaged me a little bit ago saying he was looking over everything and he was regretting not tipping that one fwiw.

  • Petri Kontiola

Four in reg. tonight: Penguins, Leafs, Predators and Tampa Bay.

  • Anderson Costa

    My picks for tonight:

    Rangers – ML
    Penguins – ML
Isles vs Wings – Over 5.5
Hawks vs Wild – Over 5.5

    Good luck guys!

    • Henry Del Valle Sr.

I need a larger broom for this 5-pack sweep!

  • Martin

Can Jets win despite they have Hellebuyck in goal? Leafs will surely get a lot of shots at him.

  • what2bet.net

I’m going with my Over 1.5 goals 1st pd if game total is listed at 6 or 6.5
    Tonight Wpg/Leafs over 1.5 -110

    good luck to all

  • Arto Reinikainen

1/1 with the Panthers winning in regulation last night, wasn’t even close 😉

Tonight for the earlier games im going with a slump busters night:

    Canes ML
    Habs ML

You don’t know how many times i’ve been burned going for the better team on the road up against a weaker team both struggling, thinking it’s going to be easy for the better team to get back on track. Examples of this this year: Pens lost to Red Wings, Kings lost to Avs, Bolts lost to Coyotes.. They always seem to be crazy games with the home team getting pumped up and when you don’t have the level of play to back up your slight overconfidence, the weaker team takes advantage. Im hoping the Pens keep the pattern going tonight.

I always love to go for good teams in these “climb a mountain” type of games. Habs are a good team and face the Rangers flying high. Desperation will show for the Habs and the Rangers haven’t been that dominant lately that they could just shrug the Habs off and win with opportunistic scoring (at least i think so). Basically the 1st game with Julien in as they’ve had a few practices with him now. I always like Price more than Hank whenever these teams go head to head. Something about the Habs that seem to throw Hank a bit off his game at times.

Couple of risky bets for sure, but the odds make up for it,

Might post some more later on.

    GL!

    • Arto Reinikainen

Could throw the Avs into the mix here. Small bet on them to beat the Kings in regulation. Kings are frustrated right now and know they should beat the Avs, but they haven’t been good in Colorado and Budaj has looked a bit shaky after the bye week. Avs haven’t been as terrible lately as they were earlier in the season. There are definitely signs for huge upset here.

      • Arto Reinikainen

Man oh man what domination by Canes in the first 2 periods xD Feel bad for them.

        • Orhan Cypriot Ugurcag

How’s the Av’s game going? I want to try a bet on them, but not sure if this is the game where they finally get a win

          • Arto Reinikainen

Not looking too good. Seems like the Avs are back to their mid-season sucking.

  • LeDemonBlond

    Kings ML
    Habs ML
    Jets ML
    Hawks ML

  • Matthew

What do you think about Wings ML? The reason why I would lean to Wings is their goalie Mrazek(.946 SV%)… I saw his last performance against Pens and he was really good… Also it will be just the second start of the goalie from NYI and taking into consideration his .868 SV% I can see wings as a clear favorites here. Im actually thinking about taking Wings in reg at @2.54

    • Orhan Cypriot Ugurcag

I also prefer wings here, mrazek has been insanely good recently and you cannot right off a team that just beat the pens and the caps, the Islanders struggled to win against the devils at home after losing to them away as their most noteworthy achievement, I feel that there is value on a detroit win, Islanders are slight favorites for the public, not sure why though.

  • Bulletproof

    Excellent tips guys !!

I love my hockey and the chase of the odd wager.
I’m extremely empressesed, when a few of you, pick underdogs, give your thoughts on why you believe in the wager and it hits.

Love the forum. I appreciate all who takes the time to give their points and opinions.

    Cheers !!
