It was quite nice to take a break from actual tips yesterday, and watch the games without any intense betting action.
And hopefully you followed the two betting tips from my overtime experimental betting system. It managed to correctly predict the Canucks/Canes and Penguins/Lightning games would go to overtime. If you were on both of those, it was a 5+ unit night!
That was the first time this month it’s actually had predictions and any more of those I’ll be sure to add with the 1st period betting system in that section. It’s even more high variance than the 1st period system though so don’t look at those results and think it’s a goldmine. And unfortunately it has nothing today.
Quite the night in hockey with the Blackhawks continuing their run, and a really good Penguins vs Lightning game.
We’ve got a busy day today starting at 1pm EST so let’s get to todays betting tips:
Flyers vs Rangers Betting Tips:
The Flyers have beaten the Rangers in the last 3 games between the two – two of them this season. The Rangers are seriously struggling on the road at the moment. The Flyers are looking solid especially at home and all the stats point to a Flyers win. Gostisbehere will be back for the Flyers and he has been pretty darn solid this season.
Despite all that – I like the Rangers. As soon as I looked at the schedule today I felt good about the Rangers, and despite looking at everything else and having Scott play devils advocate for me – I still like the Rangers to win.
Sabres vs Capitals Betting Tips:
The Sabres have been notorious for quite a few big upsets the last few seasons – and if they manage to pull off an upset here then props to them.
But I just can’t see past the Capitals at the moment. The Sabres looked poor against the Bruins last night and I didn’t see the type of fire in them that would see them turning things around here. Washington just look amazing at the moment and very rarely slip up. Sabres did pick up two big wins over the Jets and Wild before Lehner returned and messed things up – but I still think Washington are just too good for them.
Capitals win in regulation.
Oilers vs Flames Betting Tips:
There are certain games during the season where we don’t think too much about. As soon as we see it on the schedule, we know going in what our prediction will be and it’s just a case of whether anything will seriously impact that.
In the Battle of Alberta, it’s always the Over in terms of goals scored. And there’s nothing standing out that changes our mind. Yeah the Oilers are really struggling to score at the moment but you can say that many times yet they are always up for the game against the Flames.
Over 5.5 Goals.
