Crazy night of hockey last night. The Habs were up 2-0 and then midway through the 3rd the Sens scored 2 unanswered goals and won it in overtime and now have control of the series 3-1. The Islanders won a back and forth battle with the Penguins 6-4 and have tied the series at 2. The Islanders have got to be the biggest surprise of the playoffs so far and are now in the Penguin players heads. The Blackhawks beat the Wild 3-0 and now lead the series 3-1.

Well the first team has been eliminated from the playoffs and this was a complete surprise. The Sharks swept the Canucks. Things would have been different if the Canucks had lowered their asking price and moved one of their goalies and in return received some much needed help. But instead they held onto both and are now headed for the golf course

Tonight we have the the Bruins – Leafs with the Bruins up 2-1, the Caps at the Rangers with the Caps up 2-1. Also tonight we have a couple of game fives taking place with both series tied at 2 games a piece; The Kings vs the Blues and the Red Wings vs the Ducks. So in what has become the normal for these playoffs we are in for some great close hockey with some surprises mixed in.

Now the Playoff Betting Tips for Wednesday May 8th

Bruins vs Maple Leafs: Over 5 Goals

This has been a good series and tonight should be a great game as its the Leafs at home before they head out to Boston for game number 5. I expect this game to easily hit 5 goals as both teams have had a chance to figure out the other teams game plan. And after a few games in a row against the same opponent things tend to get a little more nasty. Let’s hope for a good back and forth physical game.

With the first three games having 5, 6 and 7 combined goals scored this game shouldn’t have a problem reaching 5 goals combined. Bet this at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv for 1.74 Betting Odds

Kings vs Blues

I think that the Kings have finally found their grove and will continue playing well tonight. The away teams have won all 4 games so far in this series but I expect the Kings to be the first home team to win a game. The Kings are the defending Stanley Cup champs and their roster remains virtually the same from last years squad. Although the Blues have played great in the playoffs, all 4 games have been decided by 1 goal, I think that the Kings have just to much depth and pride to lose here.

Bet the Kings will beat the Blues at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv for 2.10 Betting Odds.

Red Wings vs Ducks: Ducks To Score First

This has been a great series between 2 very strong Western Conference clubs. These teams have alternated wins since the beginning of this series so if the trend continues then the Ducks should prevail in this game as well.

I think the Ducks will take full advantage of home ice and win here for http://www.bovada.lv for 1.77 betting odds. The Ducks have scored first in 3 of the 4 games so I think they will score first in this game as well on their way to a victory.

My tip is the Ducks to score first but both a win and a Duck first goal are worth making.
