What an amazing first round. After each night you didn’t think it could get any better but it did.

If the second round is anything like the first then we are in for some m ore amazing playoff action

And to make things better we did great in our predictions for the first round of the 2014 NHL Playoffs. Have a look by clicking here or read on to see how we did.

We will start in the Eastern Conference where we killed it with the tips and we hope you got in on the action with us.

We both had the Habs to win the series and they did with a 4-0 sweep over the Lightning.

We both had the Penguins to win and they also did in 6 games.

Both of us picked the Flyers vs Rangers series to go the distance and it did and Scott also picked the Rangers to come out on top so great value on that series.

To finish off the East we both had the Bruins and Scott once again nailed it when he said Bruins in 5.

Next up we have the much tougher Western Conference.

We both picked Kings and Scott used his crystal ball and said Kings in 6 or 7 and what a series this was and a historic one also. After going down 3-0 to the Sharks the Kings stormed back to win the next 4 to become only the 4th team to come back from 3-0 to win the series in game 7.

We both missed out on the Wild vs Avalanche series when we picked the Avs to win the series but they lost in 7 games to the Wild.

Graeme said Ducks to win the first game and the series and they did. Scott said Ducks in 6 and that also came through for us. So we killed this series.

Lastly Graeme had the Blues to win the series where Scott had the Blackhawks in 6. And it was the Blackhawks in 6.

Overall we went 19-3 combined so we just destroyed the first round. Let’s hope for the same success in the 2nd round.

Here’s our thoughts on round 2 of the 2014 NHL Playoffs

(3)Canadiens vs (1)Bruins

Graeme’s Thoughts How can you not bet the Habs here? Sure I am biased but 3.00 odds? Are you kidding me? Head on over to Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. and bet the Habs every day of the week at that price. I’d say they are more about 2.5 odds. Great price for a team who have a goalie that can win the whole series for them,

Scott’s Thoughts

The Habs have a way of getting under the Bruins skin. If they can do it throughout this series and throw the Bruins off of their game then they have a good shot of winning this series.

I want the Habs to win but I don’t see them being able to beat a Bruins team with no weaknesses.

Bruins in 6

Bet on the outcome of the Habs vs Bruins series at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

(2)Rangers vs (1)Penguins

Graeme’s Thoughts If it was Philly I would be concerned as they have a way of going after Crosby. The Penguins were very sloppy at times – but I still like them to do it. 1.64 odds for them to win the series is a value price IMO.

Scott’s Thoughts

Ya the Penguins didn’t look so good during their first round matchup against the Blue Jackets but lets not forget who is on this team.

The Rangers just had a tough 7 game series versus the Flyers where the Penguins also had a tough series but only lost their 2 games in OT.

This series could go 6 or 7 games but in the end it will be the Penguins moving on. Penguins in 6

Head to Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. and make your prediction on this series

.

(3)Kings vs (1)Ducks

Graeme’s Thoughts I can’t see the Kings beating the Ducks. Everyone talks about momentum and so on and what they did was amazing but they also lost 3 straight games in very poor fashion. Ducks as underdogs at 1.95? I’m all over that.

Scott’s Thoughts

This is going to be another good series and for the Kings could be another long one.

The Kings are a deep team who are coming off of an amazing comeback against the Sharks. With the momentum gained from that series it’s going to be hard to stop them.

This could be another series that could go the distance. Kings in 6 or 7

Bet on the Kings – Sharks series at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

(wc)Wild vs (3)Blackhawks

Graeme’s Thoughts Hawks will take this. 1.35 odds are horrible though obviously. I’d go over to Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv and take the game 1 win and series win double for the Hawks. 1.66 odds there and feels like value.

Scott’s Thoughts

The fact that the wildcard Wild beat the Avalanche is incredible. But for a young team like the Avs you gotta learn how to lose in the playoffs before you can win. Just ask Crosby and Toews.

The Blackhawks were able to bounce the strong Blues team in 6 games. And many people had the Blues to win the West. The Wild are no where near as good as the Blues.

Experience is going to come through in this series and the Hawks have plenty of that. Plus the Hawks have home ice advantage in this round and they play much better at home as their 3-0 record so far in these playoffs at home shows.

Hawks in 5

Bet on the Hawks to win or the Wild to continue their incredible run at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Some of those series prices don’t pay well, unless you mean for your tip to be “… in # games”?

I like the parlay of the series outcomes: Bruins, Hawks, Pens, Ducks. Pays +520.

Any tips for tonight’s game?
