Well thanks to the Detroit Red Wings we managed to go 2-2 last night more on that in a minute.

Our first loss came when we had the Canucks to beat the Sens but it was the Sens who won this game 4-3 in OT. This was hard to watch as the Canucks were up 3-0 in the second but let the Sens back into it when they scored 3 unanswered of their own. In OT it was Erik Karlsson who sealed it for Ottawa.

Our other loss came when we had the Sharks to beat the Oilers in regulation. The Oilers won 2-1 to snap their 11 game losing streak. Looking back I would have placed that bet again as it was almost impossible to take the Oilers during that stretch.

Our first win came when we had the Ducks to beat the Jets. I thought this was going to be an easy win for the Ducks but it took OT for them to win 4-3 over the Jets.

Our other win came when we bet that the away teams would score more goals then the home teams. We won this bet when the away scored 11 to the homes 10. This happened thanks to the Red Wings beating the Hurricanes 3-1 which was the only game on the night that wasn’t decided by one goal.

Tonight we have three games taking place: Penguins vs Rangers, Devils vs Hurricanes and Panthers vs Blues.

Let’s get to the NHL Betting Tips for Monday, December 8th

Penguins vs Rangers Betting Tips

Penguins are 3rd in the league for goals per game. The Rangers are scoring 2.70 goals a game. So this should be a good high scoring game.

This one could go either way but thanks to the odds we are taking the Penguins with confidence in this one

Penguins Moneylins Win for 1.95 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Devils vs Hurricanes Betting Tips

After nearly beating the Ducks last night, the Canes gained a huge confidence boost showing that they can hang with the best team in the league at this point in the season

The Devils are banged up right now and missing a bunch of their regular players.

Going with the Hurricanes to Win for 1.91 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Panthers vs Blues Betting Tips

This game should go the Blues way.

They last played on November 1st and it was the Blues coming away with the 4-0 win.

I expect more of the same in this one

We are going with Blues -1.5 for 2.35 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else.

Florida is hot at the moment and the over 5 looks promising set at a 1.83 units at Sports Interaction. I’m thinking the blues will still win, but the panthers can actually score some as well. Any comments?

Ruki

I would avoid this one because Marty will get a second chance. He will want to excell as well as whole team working for his first comeback victory. On the other side Luongo is solid, he is likely to start, not confirmed though. I can see this one go either way, a 3-1 victory for Blues or 3-4 for Panthers.

Ruki

Why Penguins with confidence? They are banged up pretty good, tonight Maatta is out so that leaves even wider gap in the defense.

Over 5 for the Panther vs Blues game is a decent bet. Still like the Blues to win this game but Panthers could put a couple goals up. As for the Penguins yes they may be banged up but they still have plenty of talent left to handle a Rangers team who I’m still not convinced will make the postseason. Crosby and Malkin can win games single handedly so a couple injuries won’t slow them down.

Ruki

I agree with Malkin and Crosby being able to win games single handedly but too much depends on them like that. It’s not just “a couple” of injuries, it’s 2 of the top defensemen and Boruzzo is still suspended so the gap in the defense is big. Depth in the offense is missing as well with Kunitz, Hornqvist and Bennet being out, also Dupuis, but I think they crossed him off for the season already. So we have a lack of offensive production, depending all on Malkin and Crosby and weakened defense. With all the missing players their powerplay has dropped significally over the past games. Rangers dominated first season match in NY and were really close in Pittsburgh while Pens weren’t banged up so they seem to be a bad matchup for them. I don’t like Rangers here because they are inconsistent but I don’t see so much confidence in Pittsburgh tonight and I’m actually a fan of Pens. Good luck with your bet, I’ll look for some live action here.

Great analysis and it showed last night. You could tell the Pens were missing that depth, and Crosby must be pulling his hair out having to play with Downie, that guy has no hockey sense. The 2nd PP for Pitt had 5 guys that werent playing on the PP at the start of the year.
