We had the same outcome for the 2nd night in a row.  We lost when the team we took to win in regulation won but in a shootout. Same score too.

We had the Rangers to win in regulation against the Kings.  They won but it was in a shootout 3-2.  The Kings were up 2-1 until the Rangers managed to tie it with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd.

The Stars beat the Flyers 3-1.  This was the Flyers 12th loss in a row.  Flyers defenseman Keith Yandle tied the Ironman streak of playing in 964 straight games.  That’s every game for 12 years which is truly amazing.

I was nervous to take the Blues to win against the Flames and I’m glad I stayed away as the Flames came alive scoring 7 straight when they beat the Blues 7-1.  Tkachuk had 5 assists for the Flames.
The Wild matched a franchise record for goals scored in a game when they pounded the Habs 8-2.  The Avalanche beat the Hawks 2-0 and extended their franchise record home win streak to 16 games.

Another busy night of hockey with 8 games.  I couldn’t find anything I had enough confidence in to make a tip and I couldn’t force one.

Sabres vs Senators Betting Tips:

The Sens are the favorites here but I really have no idea who wins.

The Sabres are 3-5-2 over their last 10 and 6-9-4 on the road.  The Sens are 4-4-2 over their last 10 and 5-10-0 at home.

There is nothing I like from this game so it’s a skip.

Coyotes vs Penguins Betting Tips:

The Pens have won their last 7 home games,  their last 5 in a row overall and have gone 8-2-0 over last 10.

The Coyotes have dropped their last 2 and have gone 4-5-1 over last 10.

The odds for this game are crazy.  Pens in regulation is 1.36, -1.5 is 1.58.  Just unplayable

Stars vs Devils Betting Tips:

The Stars are playing well right now.  They have won 3 in a row and 6-4-0 over last 10.  But those 3 wins were against struggling teams; Sabres, Wings and Flyers.  So not sure how much we can read into that.

The Devils have lost 4 of their last 5 games.

All things point to a Stars win but their road record hasn’t been very good this season going 7-12-1.

Nothing I like from this game.

Knights vs Canes Betting Tips:

The Knights have been a good road team.  They have won their last 7 when away from Vegas.  The Canes are coming into this game after losing 7-4 to the Devils on Saturday.   The had given up more than 4 goals only once all season but now their last 2 loss saw them allow 7 and 6.

The Knights are on that rough road trip where they face some of the best teams in the league.  They beat the Caps last night, play the Canes today and then it’s the Panthers and Lightning.

This should be a good game.

Flyers vs Islanders Betting Tips:

It’s the Flyers and their 12 game losing streak.  The Isles have played 7 games this month winning 5 of them but 2 needed OT.

To get any value on the Islanders here it needs to be in regulation.  Yes the Flyers are playing horribly right now but they will end this streak at some point.  And with the Isles needing extra time a couple times this month I don’t have a bunch of confidence in them considering they played the Flyers last Tuesday and needed a shootout for the win.  I have to skip this one.

Panthers vs Jets Betting Tips:

The Panthers are amazing at home.   The Jets have lost 4 in a row.

It’s tough to back the Panthers when they are on the road and also tough to back the Jets when they have lost 4 straight.   Easy skip for me here.

Predators vs Kraken Betting Tips:

The Predators have won their last 2 games and they will need to continue to do they to stay near the top of the Central Divison.  They currently sit in 3rd with 55 points in 43 games.  The Blues are in 2nd with 55 in 42 games and the Avs are 1st with 61 in 40 games.

Grubauer has won his last 3 starts for the Kraken and they look like a different team when he’s on.  The rest of the team seems to follow his lead.

These teams played once already this season and it was the season opener for the Preds and the Krakens first win in franchise history on October 14th.

With so much on the line for the Preds they need to win this game.  But Grubauer is on fire. So I reluctantly have to skip this game but leaning towards a Preds regulation win.

Oilers vs Canucks Betting Tips:

The Oilers won their last game but have gone 3-5-2 over last 10.  Their win against the Flames snapped their losing streak at 7 games.

The Canucks have gone 4-4-2 including losing their last 2.  They are without 3 of their best forwards with Horvat, Miller and Garland all in the Covid protocol.

Tough to call a winner here.  The Oilers are slumping going 3-11-2 and the Canucks are missing some key players.

Canes lost to Devils bc they had a very green rookie in net who had never faced pro level shots previously. Anderson just took a crap in that 6-0 shellacking, but he’s one of the elite goalies and will stand tall. Great bounce back spot for them: at home after a practice or two and plenty of time to lick their wounds. Vegas on a B2B with Brossoit likely. They’re a great road team but Canes love their home cooking.
