Only 4 games yesterday.

The Canes beat the Hawks 4-2 for their 5th straight win, the Knights beat the Avalanche 4-3 in overtime after being down 3-0 after the 2nd.  The Blues beat the Kraken 4-1 and the Flames beat the Coyotes 6-5.

8 games tonight and some big ones with the final spot in the East on the line.   We are getting very close to the postseason now and we can’t wait.

Canadiens vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

The Wings still need points.  They are part of this crazy wild card mess going on in the East.

I would expect them to win here but who knows how they are going to deal with the pressure they are facing.  They have gone 3-4-3 in last 10.

Predators vs Penguins Betting Tips:

Predators are locked in the first wild card spot.  Nothing to lose or gain here.  This is their last game of the regular season.

The Pens need to win out the rest of the regular season to get in.  If the Preds decide to rest some players then that would be great news for Pens as they play the Isles next in a crucial game.

Bruins vs Capitals Betting Tips:

Bruins are in 1st in the Atlantic but the Panthers are right behind them one point back.  They do have a game in hand on the Panthers.

The Caps need this win to stay in the hunt for the final wild card spot.

Should be a good game and both teams need these points.

Islanders vs Devils Betting Tips:

The Isles can lock themselves in 3rd in the Metro with a win here.

The Devils may embrace the roll of spoilers here and come out swinging

Sabres vs Lightning Betting Tips:

The Sabres are out.  This is their final game of the season.

The Lightning are locked into the 1st wild card spot.  They have nothing to gain or lose at this point.

Senators vs Rangers Betting Tips:

Sens are just playing to get the season over with.

The Rangers are in 1st in the Metro and league.  The Stars and Canes are only 1 point back.  All 3 teams have only 1 game left so a win here would give the Rangers the Presidents Trophy.

Sharks vs Oilers Betting Tips:

The Oilers have a shot at catching the Canucks for 1st in the Pacific.   They play the Sharks today then the Coyotes and finish with the Avalanche.  They have 102 points with 3 games left.  The Canucks have 107 with 2 left.

They’ll need to win the last 3 games and have the Canucks lose both of theirs.

Wild vs Kings Betting Tips:

Wild are out so nothing for them.

The Kings need to win to keep their position as the Knights are close.  They have 97 points with 2 games left and the Knights have 96 with 2 remaining.  On a 2 game win streak at home I like their chances.

I’m a stupid better, who wastes tons of units to gain minimal profits.

Here is the plan:
This is the 63rd day since my first post in February and my goal now is to get to 63 units, but I need some luck and maybe today is actually one of those days, hehe.

I take Minnesota ML* @ 2.4 with 5 units

To WIN moneyline: Oilers and Bruins
Full Game OVER 5.0: Nash/Pitts
Leans: Detroit and Rangers win moneyline

Reviewing the situations I couldn’t see much that looks solid. Really want to see Detroit win tonight. They play Montreal again tomorrow to end the season, so a win tonight could really help the cause, with Washington and Philly just not playing well recently. McDavid is back today, in full practice anyway, and against San Jose, the Oilers can’t really move in the standings, but can stay fine-tuned for the playoffs. Their last home game before more in the playoffs. Their last game is against Colorado, and it will be meaningless for both teams, so they won’t be burning themselves out in that one, probably a very dull public skating event. Nashville knows they can ruin Pittsburgh tonight but have scheduling priorities of their own, so not sure what they’ll do. I expect Pittsburgh to play hard all game, so that’s going to open up the ice.

Bruins. It’s the Bruins, and Washington isn’t showing anything special this spring.
