Well last night sucked.  We had 2 tips and both looked like they were going to come through for us after 2 periods.  But then the 3rd came along.

The Rangers vs Islanders game started out slow with 1 goal in the 1st,  picked up a bit in the 2nd where the Isles were up 3-1 and continued in the 3rd when the Isles scored 3 more winning the game 6-1 and putting the game over 5.5.  I hate tipping unders and generally avoid them and this game reminded me why I hate unders.

We also had the Penguins -1.5 against the Devils and we lost it but all I could do was laugh and what else could I do.  The Penguins were up 6-0 after the 2nd so it looked like an easy win for us.  Well the Devils decided to come to life in the 3rd putting together a crazy rally scoring 6 goals but the Pens managed to score another and won 7-6.  Jeff Carter scored his first for the Pens in this one.

The Canucks beat the Leafs 6-3.  This was the Leafs 5th loss in a row and Rittich has lost all 3 games he has played since joining the Leafs.

After a week of good weather I wake up to the ground covered in snow.  So time to put the shorts away again.  That week was our summer so back to the 11+ months of winter we get here in Canada.

We have 4 games scheduled for us today.  All games are teams playing each other for the 2nd time in a row.  I’m going to take today off to lick my wounds.  So no tips but will go over each game below.

April 21st, 2021 NHL Betting Tips

Predators vs Blackhawks

The Predators have owned the Hawks this season winning the last against them and it should be a Preds win but the odds aren’t very good.  And with the Hawks falling in the standings they may embraced the spoiler roll.  Leaning towards Preds win.

Wild vs Coyotes

The Wild have won their last 4 games and should be able to stretch that to 5 in this game.  But the Wild haven’t been the best road team this season and the Coyotes are barely hanging on to the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central holding a 1 point lead over the Blues.  So they may show up for this game.  Leaning towards a Wild win in regulation.

Sharks vs Knights

The Knights should destroy the Sharks here but to get any value it would need to be -1.5.  They played the Sharks the other night and it was a 3-2 overtime win so the spread has me nervous.  The Knights have won their last 7 games and are the #1 team in both the West Divison and the league. So the Knights should win but by how many is the question. An obvious lean on the Knights here and it would be -1.5

Canadiens vs Oilers

The game the other night was close until the 3rd period when the Oilers went to work scoring 4 unanswered goals to pick up the win.  After Price was bumped and left the game in the 1st he was placed on the concussion protocol and will miss 1 week.  The Habs may come to life after that but who knows.  I would lean an Oilers win including OT/SO but the value just isn’t there to make it a play.
