Wow – after the first three games, who would have expected a tight 1 goal game for the Oilers vs Kings in game 4? The Oilers now lead 3-1 and head back to Edmonton to likely wrap things up.
The New York Rangers are the first time to progress to the next round, with a tidy sweep of the Capitals. Scott crushed that one with a Rangers -2.5 bet at 2.45 odds. Alas, I had Caps +2.5 so it was a losing one for me.
For today we have two games as the Knights host the Stars in Game 4, and the Panthers host Tampa in Game 5.
Panthers vs Lightning Game 5 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Panthers are now at home where they have a chance at winning the series.
The Lightning had big games from Stamkos, who scored twice, and Hagel who had 2 and an assist.
The Panthers need to get back to their winning ways and end this thing and not let the Lightning gain any momentum as they could be dangerous with their stars starting to produce.

Graeme: The Panthers offense produced, but so did Tampa in a big way to keep the series alive.
The Panthers offensive metrics continue to excel. I think Tampa know they need to play very offensive in this series. I’m going with Over 6.5 Goals incl OT

Knights vs Stars Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Stars won their first game and they did it in Vegas. They needed overtime to get it done but after losing the first two games at home, this was a huge victory for them.
The Knights can’t allow the series to go back to Dallas tied as the Stars have two more games at home if this series goes 7 games. Thompson was good in the loss as he still made 43 saves. The Knights will have to get that number down.

Graeme: Stars overcame their Knights hoodoo and that makes things very interesting. A win here would be massive for them and Vegas know that.
Overall throughout the playoffs, they have been the better team by the metrics and I’m happy to back them to win now they have got that crucial victory over the Knights.

I’m being extremely cautious with these two games. Florida may have pissed off Godzilla. When tuned up, Tampa still has command of a game, and there’s a lot on the line now. Florida has some momentum but Florida is a team of punks on offense, they take many penalties, and many teams found ways to deal with that. The Dallas/Vegas game is high risk all over the place, but something for a parlay, like UNDER 7.0?
