Has to be a bad omen when we start player props, and the very first prop is on a goalie quantity of saves, only for that goalie to be chased out of the net right?

Frustrating one that in what was a big win for the Stars.

The Florida series doesn’t appear to be bizarro after all. Felt like I blinked and the Lightnings lead was shattered. Panthers now 3-1 and go back to Tampa with confidence.

Four games today. I’m heading out of town today so my own write-ups will be short and I won’t do “best odds”.

Leafs vs Senators Game 5

Scott: Was a huge win for the Sens in game 4. It kept them alive for another day but I think that may be it for them.

This game is in Toronto and the Leafs have a shot at wrapping this up at home. It’s one thing to have the Sens win a game but they can’t let them catch fire and go on a run. They need to end this as soon as possible.

I want to take the Leafs but it would have to be in regulation and the last 3 games of this series have gone to overtime so can’t do that.

Brady Tkachuk has shot counts of 5, 5, 4 and 1 and has registered a point in all 4 games except the first. I expect him to being going all out with his team facing elimination.

Brady Tkachuk to get at least 1 point at 1.76

Graeme: I figure Leafs will take this one tonight but after the way things have gone, can’t take them in regulation. Nylander has been a solid contributor and I gotta think Leafs get goals going tonight so I will go with Nylander at least 1 assist at 2.28.

Hurricanes vs Devils Game 5

Scott: Svechnikov scored the empty net at the end to complete the hat trick. The Canes scored the first 3 goals and the Devils scored two of their own but they couldn’t tie it up.

Curious to see how Andersen deals with his injury after being forced to leave the game after a collision with Meier.

Canes are back at home with a chance to win the series I do like them here and so does the sportsbooks. So instead of yet another no bet. Svechnikov has had a good series so far. Game 1 he scored, game 2 he was pointless, game 3 he had an assist and game 4 he scored the hat trick.

Svechnikov over 1 point

Graeme: Have to think the Canes wrap this one up. Think Devils will have life sucked outta them and going with Canes -1.5 at 2.00. They have covered that in all three of their wins so far and you gotta think if its a one goal game, Devils have some extreme empty net desperation going on.

Knights vs Wild Game 5

Scott: This has turned into a great series. The Knights were able to pick up a crucial win in game 4 which snapped their Wilds win streak at 2 games.

They are at home and need to take advantage of the home ice as they have seen what the Wild are capable of. They are heavily favored so much so that I’m off of tipping a winner here.

Hertl is a huge piece of the Knights offense. His shot count is 4, 3, 2 and 3 so far and I see that continuing if they are to take a lead in the series.

Hertl over 3 shots

Graeme: I’m completely lost on this series honestly. Lets go with Over 5.5 at 1.76 as the Knights goaltending/defense has went to pot, so in theory it should be a nice high scoring game. In reality watch them bring it and shut the Wild out. But based on performances so far I feel it is worth backing.

Scott: The Oilers were down 3-1 after the 2nd and in the 3rd Bouchard scored twice for the 2nd game in a row to tie it and force overtime. Draisaitl won it for the Oilers.

With game 5 back in Los Angeles and how well the Kings play there this should be a game they win. But I still think the Oilers are winning this series so for that to happen they’ll need to win one on the road.

Oilers win incl OT

Graeme: If the Oilers are going to win a road game I feel this is the one as they carry the momentum in with two back to back wins and evening up the series. Makes sense to me not in love with the odds but Oilers win 2.05 seems fine.

I am all over the map as well… can’t really see anything. Games are not transpiring as I see them going. LOL?? the only play that I am sort of comfortable with is EDM/LA O6.5 again

If VGK shows up, Gustavson Over26.5 saves for sure

If TOR does not show up, Ullmark under 23.5 saves

But teams do not seem to be consistent enough to know when they are going to show up or not

Big v

Might be the ‘ol recentsy bias but this playoffs with the except of the Canes, seems really hard to get a feel for who’s gonna win. Typically I find playoffs are easier for this but not this time. Same with NBA.

Not to be that guy but you are a little late picking Nylander ass when you got 2.55-2.60 first matches and same with Tkachuk and Svechnikov. I think that ship has sailed oddswise.
