We went 1-1 with the tips yesterday.

We won with our tip of the Knights to beat the Blues when the Knights won 6-1.  The Knights scored first and never looked back.  The Knights snapped their losing streak at 3 games and the Blues extended theirs to 7 games with the loss.

Our loss was over 5.5 in the Flyers vs Bruins game.  This started out good with both teams getting one in the 1st but it slowed down and it was the Flyers winning 3-2 in overtime which left us under.

The Canadiens beat the Oilers 3-2 in overtime and it was Eric Staal scoring the winner in his first game as a Hab.  Jack Campbell picked up another win for the Leafs when they beat the Flames 5-3.  Campbells win was his 9th in a row which tied the franchise record for consecutive wins.  Matthews scored twice to give him a league leading 27 on the year which is 5 more than McDavid who has 22.

The Avalanche beat the Wild to extend their point streak to 15 games.  Dubois scored twice for the Jets when they beat the Sens 4-3.  Bunting scored his first career hat trick for the Coyotes when they beat the Kings 5-2.

Baylor beat Gonzaga in the NCAA Championship Game ending Gonzaga’s perfect season.

For today we have 9 games scheduled.  Nothing jumps out to me for today’s schedule.   We may post in the comments if we see something.

April 6th, 2021 NHL Betting Tips

Capitals vs Islanders

Both teams on 2 game win streaks.  The Islanders are a great home team going 15-1-2 including winning their last 3 at home but the Caps are 7-3 over their last 10 games.

Panthers vs Hurricanes

Panthers have won 6 in a row but the Canes have beat them 3 out of 4 this season.  No idea who wins this one as it could go either way.  The Panthers are #1 overall in the Central and tied for #1 in the league.  The Canes are only 3 points behind them.

Bruins vs Flyers

Yet another back to back, head to head.  Staying away from this one.

Lightning vs Blue Jackets

Would like to say the Lightning win this game.  But the Jackets matchup well against them.

Penguins vs Rangers

The Rangers are the favorites here but not sure I can buy into it.  The Pens lost their last game against the Bruins but had won 5 in a row before that.  There is no value here.

Sabres vs Devils

The Devils should win this game but to get any value it would need to be in regulation at least.  They have lost 3 straight and 2 of them needed extra time.   No thanks

Predators vs Red Wings

Another game where we would need to take the favorites in at least regulation to get any value.  They have played each other 6 times this season with the Wings winning two of them.  Plus the Wings are coming off of a big 5-1 against the Lightning so momentum is on their side.

Stars vs Blackhawks

5th and 6th in the Central Divison. This should be a good close game and I’m not sure who wins it

Ducks vs Sharks

Leaning towards a Sharks win but it would need to be in regulation.  They have had 2 games needing extra time already this year against each other so I’ll avoid it.

The newsletter has somehow not worked good in recent days. It’s late, I don’t see evening tips 🙁

Sorry about that not sure why it happens. Believe me it’s frustrating on my end too.

Man I really wanted to go with the Sharks in reg today. Analyzing it though I can’t do that. Advanced metric wise Ducks actually perform really well in those matchups.

If I was to do one play tonight it’d probably be Preds in reg. Saros has been good enough. Bet365 has 1.90 odds which is the lowest I’d go.
