We had no tips yesterday and it looks like it was a good night to avoid them.

The Islanders beat the Caps 1-0 and kept their home winning streak alive.  The only goal in this game happened after the halfway point of the 3rd.

The Hurricanes beat the Panthers 5-2 ending the Panthers win streak at 6 games.  Mrazek started and won again and is now 4-1 on the year.

The Bruins beat the Flyers 4-2 of course going over 5.5 the day after I had gone with an over and it stayed under.

I liked the Lightning to beat the Jackets but knew the Jackets matchup well against them and avoided it and it’s a good thing I did as the Jackets won 4-2.  The Rangers were the favorites in their game against the Pens and I didn’t buy it, boy was I wrong,  they beat the Pens 8-4.

The Sabres beat the Devils 5-3 snapping their road losing streak at 10 games.  After dropping 18 straight the Sabres now have points in 5 straight (3-0-2)

The Preds played the Wings.  This was a game that for us to get any value we would have needed to take Predators in regulation but we avoided it with the Wings already beating the Preds twice before last night and coming off of an big win against the Lightning.   The Preds won 3-2 in overtime.

Was leaning towards a Sharks win but stayed away since these teams had already had games go to extra time.   Ducks won 5-1.

Stepping away from hockey for a minute but in case you hadn’t heard, DMX is in hospital and its not looking good. He had a heart attack and is on life support in a vegetative state. He is my all-time favorite artist and it would have been incredible to see what he could have accomplished had he been able to control his addiction.  As a hip hop guy Tupac is the best ever but DMX was my favorite and it’s not even close. The guy dominated for over 10 years.  I went to Woodstock in 1999 to see him, sure the Chili Peppers, Rage and Metallica were awesome but I went to see him, and I’m glad I did.  I’ll be thinking about X and hope he pulls through.

For today we have only 5 games.  We went back and forth discussing todays games and finally found one we both agreed on.

Golden Knights vs Blues

These teams played on Monday and it was the Knights winning 6-1.

They have played each other 5 times this season with the Knights winning 4 of them.

The Knights road record is 11-6, The Blues home record is a lousy 4-9-4.  The Blues have lost their last 7 games in row.

I backed the Knights against the Blues on Monday and, in my opinion, nothing has changed.  I’ll go with them again and this time in regulation.

Knights win in regulation

Western Rattlers

Copy on Vegas to WIN. St. Louis in a real scoring drought and Vegas will usually win if the situation isn’t stacked against them.

Toronto at the reverse puckline +1.5.

Maple Leafs PL +160 – Leafs L8 @ home 7-1, 4 of those PL wins. Leafs 3-1 v Habs but Campbell wasn’t in net for any of those games. great value on Leafs PL. If that doesn’t persuade you, then consider that Gallagher is out for Habs, #2 goals #4 points

Oilers reg. – Oilers own Sens 7-0 with no OTs. Hogberg v Koskinen. No question of who is better.

Knights reg – they own the Blues who are in a tailspin. Knights will be full of confidence after last tilt.

Yotes ml – Yotes are playing with a lot of swagger atm while Kings are struggling. Yotes have huge edge with Hill v Peterson

Feels like whenever i’ve been posting this year things go to shit, so a word of warning there lmao

But yeah i think you got to go for Arizona in regulation and be ruthless here despite a Kings push. Nice value.

It’s that time of the year for the Yotes where the next game is the most important, not too concerned about fatigue in a tight schedule, when you’re rolling and everybody’s dialed in a lot of games is often a good thing. We know they can beat the Kings in their current form so the tail end of a mini series i feel is an advantage for once. Hill is feeling good in net.

And i think a random guy scoring that hattrick has to lift the team up, wouldn’t be surprised to see a big game from some of the top guys.

Also my pattern system tells me the Kings had a similar stretch last season and lost their 4th in a row here.. so that’s a plus.

Fingers crossed.

Other thoughts:

EDM/OTT – Man i’d love to take a leap of faith on the Sens tonight.. i know they’re going to make a nice push to beat Edmonton, who really haven’t played that well as of late. But it’s also been against better teams so who knows they could just turn it up against the Sens again.. but yeah, first meeting of the year between the two where i feel like the Sens can actually win legitimately and not via Edmonton taking a random night off. They did beat the Habs 6-3, tied with the Leafs and finished the game against the Jets strong. Oilers constantly getting outshot and outchanced.

MTL/TOR – Habs intrigue me here.. feels like a good spot for the underdog. Some good results and strong play lately, lift from a nice comeback. Leafs have been good but they also played 2 consecutive games against the Flames who are not good rn and they were tight ones, especially the first one felt like they were sloppy, so they could get surprised by what the Habs can do compared to that team. Also 3in4 + 4in6. But at the same time Gallagher is out, Allen in net and the Leafs are kind of that big bro with their stars right now in this matchup so not sure if i want to pull the trigger. I went for Montreal once before against the Leafs thinking they would be shot out of a cannon, which they were, but then the Leafs turned it around.

VGK/STL – I’d be weary of going for the Knights to be honest. Extremely cautious about a weak effort game. They’ve been having some off nights lately and were mentally charged to play the last game and show to themselves they can win a game and that can often show as a hangover. Here’s where the tides can turn.. But man im just not sure if the Blues can beat this team. Feels like either they get rewarded for playing with some cojones after getting embarrassed.. or they screw it up in the end. Odds are tempting though.

COL/MIN – Well, unless the Avs decide here’s a good time to take the foot off the gas, i think they win another one. They’re clearly superior to the Wild and matchup well. Odds not good enough for me though.
