Only 2 games yesterday.
The Penguins vs Leafs game was a good one. The Leafs won 3-2 in overtime but the Pens managed to pick up a point in the loss and are tied for points with the 8th place Wings. Matthews scored his 65th goal and became the first player to do so since Ovechkin did it in 2007-08.
The Knights vs Canucks game was another good one. Eichel got the Knights on the board first scoring twice in the first 8 minutes of the game but the Canucks tied it before the end of the period. In the end the Canucks won 4-3 and now have a 5 point lead over the Oilers for 1st in the Pacific.
13 games tonight. With the playoff teams almost set it makes finding tips really tough.
Capitals vs Wings Betting Tips:
Caps have lost 6 in a row and their chances are shrinking with each loss. They have 83 points.
Wings have five wins in their last 18 games and that’s a sign that they’re fighting for their playoff lives. They have 84 points and are in 8th.
Huge game here but with each teams play of late I can’t back either of them.
Senators vs Panthers Betting Tips:
The Sens are eliminated.
The Panthers are kind of stuck in 2nd in the Atlantic. They are 5 points back of the Bruins. Not sure how much effort they will have.
Flyers vs Canadiens Betting Tips:
The Flyers need this win. They were in 3rd in the Metro but have lost 7 in a row and are now in 11th place. With the way they are playing it’s an easy pass for me
Leafs vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Leafs played yesterday and won in overtime.
The Devils still have a shot but a really small one. They need to win out the season. If they win their remaining 4 games they would have 87 points which is only 3 more than the wild card. But they would also have to have the teams they’re chasing lose their games.
Leafs just played and Devils are all but eliminated so they may just accept the fact and throw in the towel or they may go all in and try to win out.
Rangers vs Islanders Betting Tips:
The Rangers are in 1st in the Metro and league. They are 8-2 in last 10 and on a 3 game win streak.
The Isles are in a fight for 3rd spot in the Metro. They have won 4 in a row.
Could be a good game between longtime rivals. The Rangers would love to help eliminate the Isles but how much effort will they bring.
Jackets vs Lightning Betting Tips:
Jackets are eliminated and have been for a while now.
The Lightning are pushing to catch the Leafs. I would expect them to win this game but unfortunately so does the sportsbooks.
Hurricanes vs Bruins Betting Tips:
There’s really nothing to gain or lose for both teams here.
The Canes are in 2nd in the Metro and 5 points behind the Rangers.
The Bruins are in 1st in the Atlantic and have a 5 point lead over the 2nd place Panthers.
It’s the lack or urgency for both teams that has me put off of tipping this game.
Sabres vs Stars Betting Tips:
The Sabres still have a small shot at the postseason but losing to the Wings basically killed their chances.
The Stars are in 1st in the Central and have a 5 point lead over the Avalanche. It’s another game where they could just not care as much and have a shitty effort.
Jets vs Predators Betting Tips:
Fairly important game here.
The Jets are only 2 behind the Avalanche and have a game in hand.
The Preds have only 4 games left. They’re in the 1st wild card spot with 94 points. They would need to close the 6 point gap to catch the Jets and they have a 7 point lead over the 9th place Blues. I could see them just coasting to the end as there is little to gain or lose here.
Wild vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
They just played each other on the 4th.
The Wild are a team that I can’t trust at all. Their play of late is why they are in 10th.
The Avalanche are in 2nd in the Central. They are 5 back of the Stars and only 2 ahead of the Jets.
The Wild can’t lose any games so they may throw everything they have at the Avs. But the Avs need these 2 points
Coyotes vs Kraken Betting Tips:
Easy pass here.
Kings vs Ducks Betting Tips:
Kings have won 3 in a row and are still battling for position.
The Ducks are bad and are eliminated. This is a good spot for them to play spoilers.
I would think the Kings win here but the Ducks might show up to mess with them. Would need to take Kings -1.5 but the odds for that aren’t worth it.
Flames vs Sharks Betting Tips:
Both eliminated so nothing here.
Two things which came up in my mind.
First, where are all the commentators? WHERE ARE YOU GUYS? IM HERE WAITING FOR YOU 😁
Second, I have a great idea for an improvement. It’s so great, so fucking great. I wish we had a daily NHL poll which teams will win(1-x-2). I think a lot of people would vote and we could use this as an indicator (Wisdom of the crowd). Technically you could pick all matchups from the NHL API and generate a daily poll.
Now, the betting part.
Yesterday was a bad day. I really wished the Penguins would win this, but they failed the plan. But hey, I won 10 bets in a row before that. What the fuck?
I’m waiting for some goalie announcements. Hopefully there will be a few more comments from others in the meantime. I miss you guys. 😅

Man these days seem a bit hard to bet. I really looked through some games and I can’t find a good red line. Neverthless I think one bet could be the best today.
My only concern is, that Carolina’s goalie is saving their asses. They played a few days ago and Boston won.
