The Vegas Knights take a huge 3-1 lead as they head back to Winnipeg.

Karlsson scored early for the Knights and the Jets kept equaling them but it wasn’t enough as the Knights ran out 3-2 winners.

200/1 to win the Stanley Cup before the season began, the Vegas Knights are now the favourites to take the cup at 13/10 odds.

Looks like Hossa has officially announced his retirment. What a shame. Guy was a legend.

Tonight we see Game 5 in the Capitals vs Lightning The Capitals won the first two games in Tampa but then the Lightning won the next two games in Washington. So the question is if that trend will continue or not with the road teams winning, or if momentum takes over for Tampa.

Let’s get to it:

Capitals vs Lightning Game 5 Betting Tips:

Scott: This has been a high scoring series with goal totals of 6, 8, 6 and 6.  With the Caps pissed that they blew a 2-0 lead they will come out and try to regain control of the series.  But Stamkos and company will be ready and looking to win one on home ice.

All games have been won by the visiting team but I’m not feeling that for tonight.   Instead I’ll go with the Over as it’s a best of three now and whoever wins this game has a great shot of moving onto the finals.

Over 6 incl OT –  1u

Graeme: Based on the road victories trend, and the quality of the Washington Capitals, I’m fine with backing them at 2.50 odds. I think that’s a great price all things considered.

It’s not like this is new territory for them. They came back from 2 losses in a row to clean the Jackets clocks. They bounced back from being 1-0 down to the Penguins and won twice in Pittsburgh.

Seems like a nice and easy value bet. Capitals to win incl OT -0.5u
