1-1 yesterday.
Had the Blues to win. It was a lot closer than I expected, but they were able to sneak the underdog victory in overtime thankfully, with a nice little comeback in there too.
I had a good run backing the Oilers. Now time to avoid them for a bit methinks. Pickard was in net – I guess I should have made it goalie dependent? But man it’s hard to actually do that when you look at Skinners stats. Unfortunate.
Thankfully, I didn’t back the Kraken or Sabres. I liked both, but I couldn’t pull the trigger and that was the correct call as both lost.
Five game slate today.
Blackhawks vs Canucks:
Canucks coming in off that loss yesterday. No interest in backing them as it’d have to be in regulation at terrible odds, and Hawks have been quite solid at home. They probably should get the W though looking at the data even if the Hawks scoring more goals as they should be.
Hurricanes vs Capitals:
Would have to be Canes in regulation. It looks a bit too tight especially considering the 1.71 odds. Not a play.
Devils vs Ducks:
Would have to be Devils -1.5. They just played yesterday and let in a bunch of goals. Hard to trust their defense at the moment. Ducks are pretty damn terrible but are at least rested. To be honest if there wasn’t the B2B I don’t know if I’d back the Devils anyway. It’s close, but I feel the bookies have the right odds here.
Knights vs Senators:
Knights have had some issues last couple of games and I mean hell going back a month it’s not like they are racking up the regulation victories.
But this does look like a good spot for them. Ottawa can score, but Knights can score more and should be able to against this defense.
It’s funny as I do get concerned when streaks end and Knights just went 10 games without losing in regulation. But for some reason it’s the opposite here – I just feel they are going to come out motivated. Plus I dunno Ottawa are just a mess.

Avs vs Sharks:
Call me crazy but man, I do not hate the Sharks here at all. Especially at the price. They put up some solid road performances on that last road trip. Fresh, while the Avs on a B2B.
You look at the metrics last 10 and I mean Avs better in Corsi and Fenwick. Sharks scored more though, conceded less. Avs slightly win the xG battle but Sharks win the SCG battle.
Sharks starting to score the HD goals, and the Avs struggling a fair bit with conceding these.
We don’t really do unit bets here for simplicity but I tell ya – at 3.45 odds, I’d be chucking half a unit on the Sharks. Mathematically, it looks fine to me.
