Another great night for us with the tips as went a perfect 2-0.

The first tip was the Oilers to beat the Sharks and they did 5-3.  This game had moments where it looked as though the Sharks would come back and take it but thankfully they didn’t.

Next we had over 5.5 in the Blue Jackets vs Bruins game.  This game didn’t look good.  After the 1st there was only one goal, after the 2nd there was three.  But in the 3rd the offense was on full display with 6 goals and it was Boston winning 7-2.

The Ducks vs Devils game was the first meeting of these teams since the Henrique for Vatanen trade.  Henrique scored for the Ducks but it was the waiver pick up the Devils made from the Ducks of Stefan Noesen that made waves.  He scored twice for New Jersey.

I have to keep these quick today folks.  Prior commitments have made this a hectic day for me.  I apologize.

Lightning vs Golden Knights  Betting Tips:

This should be a great game between two of the top three offenses.

The Lightning are ranked 1st with 3.81 GPG and the Knights are 3rd with 3.44.

Both teams coming off of high scoring games with the Lightning winning their last game 6-5 and the Knights also winning theirs 5-2

Hurricanes vs Maple Leafs Betting Tips:

Big game for the Leafs here.

This game is honoring their 100 year anniversary.

I think with a game like this we have to ignore all the stats and just go with the Leafs in what’s sure to be an emotional game for them

Red Wings vs Islanders Betting Tips:

The Isles are at home and it’s there where the play their best hockey going 10-2-2.

The Wings beat the Leafs in their last game but before that win they had won only once in 11 games.  With their key players slumping they have shuffled their lines up.

Isles at home though so im going with them for this game

Leafs, Wild, Stars and Predators with one unit;
Leafs with 5 units.
Marleau, Faksa and Dadonov with half unit.

Oliver Trigg

Looking great on Leafs well done! Glad to see you’re on Preds tonight! Reg?

magus1349

All is in reg.

Oliver Trigg

Cheers!

Christian Gee

Bolts Vs Vegas…hoping for goals myself ! Thoughts ??? Opinions ?

Oliver Trigg

I really don’t know on that one- I think it could literally go either way under/over.

Christian Gee

Yes I get you. It is one of those isn’t it…

istaybricking

2/3 last night, but i removed the Penguins from my big parlay, just before the games started and thank god for that. Ended with a big win on the double with the Devils and the Oilers. Let’s continue the good streak tonight:

Leafs ML
Rangers ML
Islanders ML
Predators ML

Thinking of playing the Bruins ML, but just about 24 hours between their game against the Blue Jackets and now their against the Sabres worries me.

I’m always open for changes, so please leave a comment, if you disagree with some of my picks or feel like I’ve missed out on some picks.

As always, good luck to everyone!

SanDiegoBruinsD

Don’t worry about Bs B2B, these guys are the best conditioned athletes in the world and it’s a short flight from Boston to Buffalo

Raphael gagne

Agree with you SDB !

Oliver Trigg

Don’t think Bruins had the most exhausting or difficult game yesterday either. As routine as they come.

magus1349

Can you show as a print with your big parlay?:))

istaybricking

With ”big” i mean how much money i betted, not the amount of games i betted on. I only played Devils ML and Oliers ML on that, and had a few other ones on lower amounts. And no i don’t think it’s other people business to know, how much i make off my bets. Thanks for your interest though.

magus1349

I’m not interested about how much money you won. It’s interesting have eliminated from combo exactly losing team.

Here you go with every little detail, including the stakes as well.

Oliver Trigg

Jesus Christ man hahahaha that’s a mad return. I’m happy with a few hundred pounds return a month lol

SanDiegoBruinsD

outstanding!

Bob Rodgerson

Looking at Fla/Ari as an under, over their last 5 games both teams are averaging a combined 3 goals/gm.

Sacha-raphael Gagne

big night yesterday 6/7 .

Its a big one today to im going for

– Bruins in REG
– Bruins PL
– Islanders in REG
– Canadien ML
– Tampa vs VGK Over 6
– Toronto in REG

Parlays Rangers and islanders ML

Bob Rodgerson

Can anyone explain why the NYI are such a favorite with Greiss in net, Howard is a better risk??

Oliver Trigg

Because the Islanders offence turns up almost every night, so even with their defensive issues they manage to win games. The Red Wings have occasional games where they manage to score more than a couple, but you can never count on their offence to match that of their opposition. Unless the Wings really show supreme defensive stability, and come up with more than a goal or two they might win- but with a team that is 2-10 in their last 12 I wouldn’t bank on it given the Islanders have only lost 4 home games all season.

Bob Rodgerson

I appreciate your comments.

Oliver Trigg

I got it wrong with my pick of the day yesterday on Pens Reg, and I apologise for that. On that occasion I think I allowed my gut to take control, and I ignored everything I knew about the Pens- that they’ve been distinctly underwhelming. I avoided them in the Coyotes game for that exact reason, and then jumped on them when they were playing a better team. I did put my Oilers ML pick on par with my Pens pick and also said it was worth a reg play, and I think when one of you asked whether you should play Pens Reg or Oilers ML I said Oilers; so hopefully some of you went with Oilers instead. SDB and istaybricking convinced me to play Devils instead of leaning it, and after going down quickly the Devils turned it around. My calls on kings and bruins were correct so all in all it was a winning day going 4-1. The profit would have been better had I not taken pens, but I still ended up making money so oh well. Todays picks –

POTD – Preds ML/Reg (90%/85%) – I’m going to keep riding this wave until it crashes. The Jets were good the other night against the Blues, but this is a step too far tonight. The Preds coming into this with a stellar 11-4 record in their last 15 which included a 5-3 win at home against the Jets a few weeks back. The Jets come into this game 7-8 in their last 15 with 5 of their wins coming on home ice. The Jets have not been the same side on the road, and have gone a poor 0-6 in their last 6 on the road, losing in that span to weak teams like the Panthers, Wings and Avalanche. The Jets have won just 1 of their last 5 meetings in Nashville, and I don’t see them getting the best of a Preds side that looks like it is going to go deep into the playoffs (and quite possibly win them). I am more than happy to lay this line on a Preds side that has scored 13 goals in its last three games and allowed 1. The Preds are completely healthy, clicking as a unit, whilst the Jets are limping right now and still without Byfuglien. To me this is a no-brainer- the Preds have shown no signs of slowing down and are Apex Predators right now.

Bruins Reg (85%) – This was very close to being my POTD, but the Bruins are on the end of a back to back so it didn’t make the cut. The Bruins are an unimpressive 7-19 in their last 26 games played on no rest, but I can look past that stat today. Why? Simply because the Bruins dominated the Jackets yesterday, aren’t travelling far and are 5-1 in their last 6 road games. If the Bruins could dominate the Jackets so impressively last night, I’m not sure there is much hope for a Sabres team that is rock bottom of the NHL that has lost 7 of the last 8 meetings with the Bruins. The meeting that the Sabres won was the last meeting between the sides, and I think this helps us here. The Bruins know they can be beaten by the Sabres, because its already happened this season on home ice where they lost in OT. I smell revenge here. The Bruins will be feeling good after their win last night and will want to return the Sabres favour. I see the Buffalo being butchered.

Rangers Reg (65%) – The Ducks are going to be hard pressed to have much of chance tonight. They have fought valiantly in almost all of their last games but have still managed just one road win in their last 6. They lost 3 in OT, and after playing last night must be quite gassed and disheartened after dropping a 2 goal lead twice, and twice in two games. This is a long road trip for the Ducks, and although I like them as a team and am a little concerned that they haven’t lost a no rest regulation game yet this season I think they’re in for a tough one tonight. the Rangers are 11-2 in their last 13 on home ice and have won 5 of the last 6 games and 6 of the last 7 on home ice against the Ducks. I always worry about the Ducks tenacity and fight, but I’ve got to take the team with more rest, better health and form and a better record in the h2h.

Leans- Islanders, Senators, Caps, Coyotes, Habs , Bolts. — As of right now don’t feel comfortable enough making any of these plays. Might take Islanders later but still deliberating on it.

Bob Rodgerson

Are the Islanders good enough with Greiss in net?

Oliver Trigg

See my reply to your comment.

alex b

your picks are atrocious

Oliver Trigg

Is that why I’m making money?Hhhhmmm Where are your picks? Throw shade once you’ve actually added something here.

InkedFive0

OT you know I’ve had your back bro! This dude is a troll!

Oliver Trigg

Thanks my man! I’ll keep doing my best!

Oliver Trigg

From what I see of your history of your last 4 posting you’ve won with Flames -1.5 and Lightning reg. You’ve lost on Blackhawks Reg and Oilers reg. LOL. 2-2 and you’re calling my picks atrocious. Get a load of this guy.

Iceman

Don’t pay no mind Oliver this guy sounds like a hater . You are actually one the best cappers I’ve seen in a while and your humbleness is even grater.

Oliver Trigg

Appreciate the support iceman. I am only here to help other people if I can, and like I’ve said before I’m by no means clairvoyant. This guys last post he called his picks “guaranteed winners”. I don’t see anything as guaranteed, and I am always open to constructive criticism so I and others can make more informed decisions.

Iceman

Thanks Oliver keep cashing ??

TMan1975

Agree with Iceman. Don’t let this guy under your skin. It’s been a pleasure following you. Keep up the good work.

Oliver Trigg

Thanks for the compliments- it is really appreciated. Hope to have another winning night tonight.

Oliver Trigg

Ok Mr 50/50 😉

Iceman

Where you come from buddy from Covers ?

magus1349

Enlighten us with some good pikcs!

Raphael gagne

?? Got the same pick or almost the same ! I Think these are good picks for real :p

Kristian Tabich

Going…
Over 5.5 Knights-light
Over 5.5 Dallas-Caps
Leafs win incl OT
Islanders win incl OT
8,6X odds

Iceman

Good Day Gents ?

Taking Rangers today plain and simple Ducks out of gas

Juri

Rangers, Bruins, Predators, Bolts and the Habs.

Feeling like the Montreal Canadiens win at regulation, stake here.

Oliver Trigg

I would be scared of taking Habs. On paper they are the better team, but Boeser may be back tonight, and Weber is out (again). Habs just don’t look good enough to trust with money yet.

Raphael gagne

Boeser back ? He was standing on crutches last night wath the fu**ck ? I took habs in most part because of that …

Raphael gagne

Ill cancel my bet if he’s on the linup for real .

Oliver Trigg

Did a morning skate, crazy I know. He literally said he was just “sore”… may play tonight

SanDiegoBruinsD

According to Van Sun beat writer Boeser is playing.

Juri Safoshin

Thanks Oliver, small single bet as i am on .ca forum ) and remember the great win series for Habs, years ago ))) still believe in them and also in Pens – memory. The bet will make me check the score tomorrow morning, otherwise may miss it.

Juri Safoshin

Some luck for habs, but i think we make some further bet agains Canadiens – especially on the road with some stronger team )))

Kristian Tabich

5 goals in 1 period…Lol

Oliver Trigg

Good call on Leafs- tried to jump on it, but my bookie wouldn’t load! By the time it did Komarov had scored…

Nik

Haven’t been betting in a couple of weeks cause of skiing and working every day. Anyways i threw a few bets last night and got nice profit so I might aswell jump on the train again. Yotes and Bolts tonight! Both ML.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Guess I should have put more on the TML

Franky

didn’t even realize they were playing this afternoon. Missed oppotunity here. What are you betting tonight?

Oliver Trigg

I couldn’t log on to my bookie. What are your thoughts tonight man? GL

SanDiegoBruinsD

just posted. As much as I like the Preds I can’t pull the trigger because of the big chalk. Regulation seems pretty risky against a team like the Jets that can’t be counted on to not show up.

Mojo

-Habs Reg/ PL
The gig is up for Vancouver and now they have begun to be decimated by injuries that don’t allow them to play that pesky and opportunistic style they love so much. Aside from the SJ game they have been getting blown out consistently. Montreal comes into this game off a brutal loss to the Sens in a game they were completely flat and didn’t bother to show up. Price and others are BC boys and should have added focus. If Montreal has any heart at all they win this game something along the lines of 4-1

-Tampa ML
Bolts in a big spot step up to the plate, Vegas will regress at home at some point too and the talent discrepancy is too much in this case. When you are winning at the rate Tampa is this year you have to find greater challenges, and beating this Las Vegas team that has been great at home all year is one of those challenges.

-Caps/Stars Over 5.5
These two teams both have a handful of guys that have that knack for finishing around the net and creating goals off of plays that appear to be limited threats. Both PP’s can usually click aroud a 1/5 rate which means you should get a combined couple goals off of specialty teams.

Leans: Islander Reg, Sens/Wild Under 5.5, Predators Reg

-Have been burned with the Islanders a couple times now including last week when they hosted Dallas. Neither goalie could stop a beach ball and I don’t know how you trust a team like that. Howard has been pretty damn good all year and something has me not wanting to touch this despite it seeming like a great chance for NYI to get back on track.

– I really do like the Minny/Ottawa game to be a low scoring game with lots of neutral zone play…just tough to bet unders in today’s NHL with such bad goaltending and turnover prone D cores.

– Predators at home playing a team that can’t win on the road but are in that traditionally bad spot of returning home from a road trip.

SanDiegoBruinsD

I agree with your assessment of Habs, but at -145? I don’t trust them to win convincingly so I’m staying away from reg. You’re probably spot on though and I’ll regret not taking them.

I wasn’t really thinking over in Caps-Stars but this is a gift at 5.5 -110. It should be 6 or 5.5 much higher odds. Good catch, I’m jumping on that.

Totally agree with Bolts ML. I think this is a statement game for them.

Don’t forget to share your NFL picks with me this week.

GL tonight mate

Mojo

Yeah I know, that’s why I am taking the Habs in reg even though they can be tough to trust winning convincingly. However they have to win this game and take control early. Guys on that team will want to show out on the West Coast as well.

Yes totally agree, I think at 5.5 you have to take it, not sure why its even money either.

Bolts roll!

Yes I definitely will!!

SanDiegoBruinsD

School’s out so I’m hanging out with SDB Junior so getting to the picks late.

I took a quick look last night at the overnight odds and made a few bets on the spot. The odds will often change for the worse once the bettors start looking at the games so it’s advantageous to consider your options before things get going on the US east coast.

I have the Caps at +105 today and here’s why: True, the Stars are very good at home (10-4) and absolutely own the Caps at home historically. However, the Stars have been mediocre at best over the past 8 games including the past two when they really didn’t show up vs Devils and Flyers. This is a lazy team and they show up when they want to hoping to capitalize on their speed and skill. The Caps have put any questions about this team behind them. They have won 13 of the last 15 games. They are simply one of the NHL’s elite teams and have a 21-13 record to prove it. They have been insane this month going 7-1. Against winning teams they are 11-6!!! They are completely healthy with Oshie coming back and Holtby is as consistent as any goalie in the league. The Caps are ahead of the Stars in every category except PK. If you’re getting plus odds on the Caps it’s a good night.

Bolts-Knights over – Not too much explanation is needed here.
Total goals scored
Bolts #1 Knights #4
Goals per game
Bolts #1 Knights #3
Any questions? 🙂

I also like the Bolts to win this game. They have a much better blue line and netminding and I think they tighten up against the Knights to prove something to the new kids on the block.

Bruins ML -135 & regulation +110 – Bruins are simply the better team and have been playing very well. The Sabres beat them in Boston and you can bet the Bruins haven’t forgotten. Tonight they’ll be making a point. I also like the over in this game, Bruins have been putting up a lot of goals and Khudobin has been porous lately.

I agree with the Isles regulation pick tonight, there’s just no way that the Red Wings are going to keep up, even if Greiss lets in some softies. The only way it doesn’t go NYI all night is if they pull one of their “who cares about this game” nights.

I’d like to pick the Rangers to win, but the Ducks, even without Perry, are not pushovers and the Rangers have a way of not showing up when they need to. Plus the odds suck.

Parlay
Bruins ML + Bolts-Knights over

GLTA SDB

Christian Gee

Oliver trigg feels bolts knights could be one of those that disappoints. Im going overs myself but it is ” one of those”.

SanDiegoBruinsD

It’s certainly possible, both Vasi and Fleury are elite goalies and this is a huge game. I’m counting on it being an all out scoring fest. GL to me!

Oliver Trigg

Have you considered Preds to win 2nd period? Its at plus odds and isn’t a bad bet I think as the Preds are the best second period team in the NHL. Sad to see you jumping off Preds train tonight, hope its not my undoing. If you’re not tailing it it makes me nervous. Already placed now, so no going back.

SanDiegoBruinsD

I haven’t looked at the period scoring, but I’ll take a peak. I’m not anti-Preds here, I just don’t like the odds. I think they take home a W, but I won’t pull the trigger for regulation against a good team like the Jets

unknownkush

Hi guys, i’m new here 🙂
I was looking for a strong bet for tonight, what do you think about Islanders OT & Tampa OT ? good luck to everyone!

soothsayer

Tonight’s tips:

Knights ML
Sabres – Bruins over 5,5 goals
Ducks ML

Good luck to all!

LendoD

Good evening all.
Back on the trail after spectating for the last few evenings (not counting lay bet on SJ vs EDM recently).

I concur with the comments on Boston. I have watched a few Buffalo games this season and have no confidence in placing any money on them.

Washington @ Dallas – again, I agree with the comments below. I feel Caps are definitely a strong team – 3 W’s give them confidence going into this matchup.
I feel personally that Caps won’t miss an opportunity to make it 4 against a stars team who come off the back of two mediocre losses.

Geir Aage R Jensen

Ottawa ML
Habs ML

Nashville-Jets over 5.5
Capitals ML
Lightning ML

Good luck everyone!

Pat

Morning everyone,

POTD
»Looking into BOS to continue rolling this time over struggling BUF BOS-0.5 @2.20 5 units
For the shy ones ML is decent with 1.70 and above depending on where you find it.

Tired ANA should lose against hosting NYR with Zibanejad back in the lineup. NYR-0.5 @1.95 1 unit

WPG vs NSH draw @4.00 1 unit and O5.5 @1.75 for 2 units
This matchup will be great. There’s huge value on the O5.5 @1.75
It will be just like fireworks, with penalties and stuff like that (PP goals, SH goals, wow)

WSH vs DAL draw @ 4.00 for half unit

Two teams that can easily make this game to OT with a 2-2 or 3-3

TB vs VGK U5.5 @2.18 2 units

This bet is against the market: odds, stats and medias favor the O6.

Vasilevski is a wall (21-4-1, 2.11, 0.934, 3)
Fleury is fleury BUT this season records a (4-1-1, 2.13, 0.934, 0)

That was a great game, even better that the over came through, barely.

Pat

+7,45 units, I’ll take it. Thanks for following my friend, you have good insights as well imho!

Juri Safoshin

Great prediction. Preds, Islanders unstable.

Christian Gee

when so many games are going overs…it scares me bolts vs vegas wont go overs. Strnage logic i know but as its the late game….hmmmm

2-1…
