Hopefully everyone enjoyed the holidays and got to spend time with their loved ones.
The World Juniors got started yesterday and Canada won their game against Finland 5-2 and the U.S team beat Norway 4-1.
After having no hockey since Saturday, we have 14 games today.
Jackets vs Devils Betting Tips:
The Jackets lost their last 2 games and are 3-5-2 last 10. The Devils are 6-3-1 and in 6th in the Metro.
In goals allowed per game both teams aren’t doing so well. The Jackets are allowing 3.63 which has them ranked 30th and the Devils are 29th allowing 3.56.
On the road the Jackets are 4-8-3 and at home the Devils are 7-8-2. Both teams have losing records for where they are playing so I’m passing.
Senators vs Leafs Betting Tips:
Usually these games are anyone’s guess as to who will win. The Battle of Ontario games are fun to watch.
They have played twice this season and each team has won once. The last game hit 7 and the first hit 9 goals.
Both teams are in the top 10 in GPG and both are in the bottom 3rd of the league in GAPG. Let’s hope for a classic game between these teams.

Capitals vs Rangers Betting Tips:
Metro Division battle here with the 4th place Caps vs the 1st place Rangers.
They played once this season in Washington and the Caps got the big 4-0 win. In New York the Rangers have gone 11-4 and on the road the Caps are 8-5-2.
I want to take the Rangers here but it would have to be in regulation. 2 of their last 4 games needed extra time so I’m not touching a regulation play.
Panthers vs Lightning Betting Tips:
Battle of Florida. The Panthers are in 3rd in the Atlantic and the Lightning are 4th.
The Panthers are 5-5 last 10 and are 25th in GPG and 4th in GAPG. The Lightning are 7-3 last 10 and on a 3 game win streak. They’re ranked 12th in GPG and 26th in GAPG.
I initially thought about taking the over here but either team has been scoring as much as they are capable of and only one of the last 8 games between these teams has gone over.
Penguins vs Islanders Betting Tips:
With the Isles missing 3 of the defensemen I’m reluctant to tip a game when they are involved.
The Penguins are 4-3-3 last 10 and in 7th in the Metro so no confidence in them at the moment.
Bruins vs Sabres Betting Tips:
The Bruins have been bad of late. They lost their last 4 games and are 4-3-3 last 10. The Sabres aren’t any better going 4-4-2 last 10.
They have played twice this season with each team winning once.
With both playing bad recently I can’t back either team.
Stars vs Blues Betting Tips:
The Stars are in 1st in the Central and are riding a 3 game win streak into this one. The Blues are on a 2 game win streak and are in 6th in the Central.
On the road the Stars have played well going 10-3-3 but the Blues, despite being so low in the standings, are a good home team going 10-5-0.
I like the Stars to win here but it would have to be in regulation and with the Blues home play I can’t tip that.
Wings vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Wings are struggling at the moment. They have gone 2-7-1 over last 10 and are in 5th in the Atlantic.
The Wild have started to turn things around. They are in 7th in the Central but have won their last 3 games and are 7-3 over last 10.
With the Wings in a slump and playing poorly on the road, 7-8-1, it’s hard to back them. They scored more goals than the Wild but also allow more. Both teams are also dealing with plenty of injuries so I’m skipping.
Hurricanes vs Predators Betting Tips:
Easy skip here.
Jets vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
The Jets are playing well going 8-1-1 over last 10 and are in 3rd in the Central. The Hawks are 3-6-1 and tied for last place in the league with the Sharks.
The Jets have won the last 6 games against the Hawks going back to March of 2022 and are 9-1 against them over last 10.
The Jets have gone 3-1 on the road this month and beat the Hawks 3-1 on December 2nd. They have a decent overall road record of 9-4-1 and the Hawks at home are 6-9-1.

Avalanche vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
The Avs have had mixed results so far this season but are still in 2nd in the Central. The Coyotes have had a good season for them and are in 5th in the Central.
Both teams are 5-5-1 against Central Divison teams. The Coyotes are on a 3 game home winning streak.
I could see the Coyotes winning this one with them on that win streak and the Avs road play of 7-7-2.
But we can never count the Avalanche out of game and that’s why I’m passing.
Kraken vs Flames Betting Tips:
These teams have similar results over the last 10 with the Kraken going 4-3-3 and the Flames 4-4-2.
Statistically both teams are also close. The Kraken are 28th in GPG, the Flames 22nd. In GAPG the Kraken are 14th and the Flames are 19th.
I’m passing as this one could go either way.
Knights vs Ducks Betting Tips:
With both teams on losing skids it’s tough to back either.
I would say the Knights should win this game but their road record isn’t that good going 9-6-3. The Ducks have been bad at home though going 5-12-0.
With the Ducks home play it does seem like a Knights play would make sense but it has to be in regulation but with them on a 3 game losing skid I can’t do it.
Sharks vs Kings Betting Tips:
The Sharks struggles continue as the have lost the last 5 games played. In December they have 2 regulation wins and 2 OT wins.
The Kings have won the last 5 games against the Sharks going back to March 2022 including once this season.
The Kings have been amazing on the road this season but have struggled at home going 6-6-3.
It’s their home play that has me worried about them here and I’m passing.
