A good night last night with the tips when we finished 2-1.

We had the Stars to bounce back against the Blues and they did winning 3-0. Jaime Benn scored his league leading 23rd goal of the year and added an assist.

We also had Over 5.5 in the Oilers vs Flames game and the Flames won 5-3. The Oilers were up 3-1 halfway through the 2nd but the Flames responded with 4 unanswered goals to pick up the win.  Johnny Gaudreau continued his strong play scoring twice.  The Flames set a franchise record with their 11th straight home win.

The loss of the night was when I had tipped the Blackhawks to win in regulation against the Hurricanes but it was Carolina coming away with the 2-1 win.

The Habs acquired goalie Ben Scrivens from the Oilers for Zack Kassian. It makes you wonder just how long Carey Price will be out.  Either way the Habs need wins and maybe a fresh face in goal will give them the boost they need.

Another good night of NHL action with 6 games.

Capitals vs Sabres Betting Tips:

The Caps are amazing this year.  They’re comfortably in first place in the East with a 10 point lead over the 2nd place Rangers and have the best home record in the league and best road record in the East.

It’s hard to bet against the Caps at this point and when they take on a up and down Sabres team things all point to a Caps win.  They’ll look to extend their best start in franchise history in this one.

Capitals in regulation

Canadiens vs Lightning Betting Tips:

The Habs are in trouble.  They face losing their 7th game in a row for the first time in 20 years.  They have tried to show the world that they are more than a one player team but have had no success.  They tried to address they problem by picking up Scrivens but he can’t fill Price’s skates as very few can.

Stamkos scored twice in their last game so he may be ready to catch fire.  The Lightning are dealing with injuries but are a deep squad.

I like the Lightning to win but I like the Over more.  Sure the Habs are having problems but are long overdue for some offense and more importantly a win.  The Lightning can go off and win this bet by themselves.

Over 5

Rangers vs Predators Betting Tips:

The Rangers come into this game rested as they haven’t played since Tuesday.  They did pick up the win in that game which must have made their Xmas break all the more Merry.

The Preds have had some troubles over their last 10 games going 4-4-2 and head out on the road for most of the next month.

Although New York has also struggled you would have to think the rest is only going to help them.  Plus the odds make this a great value tip too.

Rangers Win

I finish last night with 2/4. Win Senators and Ducks, lose on Blues and Jackets.
For tonight i chose only 3 games.

From 21.10.2015 Caps have 12 wins and 4 loses on road. The serie look 4W-2L-4W-2L-4W. What will be tonight? I bet one unit on Buffalo ( OT included ).
Also i bet on two teams wich looks married with lose, Rangers in regulation and Habs. One unit on each.

After a tough past week or so with a little time to watch/think about games due to christmas holidays it’s time to get back on a proper grind, here’s my preview of the night:

Caps are obviously flying right now. I thought about betting on them for a good hour or so but ended up not doing so, because im not convinced they’ll be able to draw enough motivation for this game. Sabres are the type of team who are easily overlooked by superior teams this year and that’s why they’ve been able to steal a good amount of points. the Caps have dominated Buffalo at Verizon Center BUT haven’t beaten the Sabres on the road in 6 straight games, dating back to 2011, making me think they have a tendency of overlooking the Sabres when not playing at home. Buffalo is playing well and like i mentioned they like to challenge tougher teams as they’ve beaten the Kings, Ducks, Bruins and took Hawks to OT this month. Bylsma has done a good job giving the team a hard working identity. Im almost favoring Buffalo in this one but because Washington is on a roll and Holtby vs Ullmark is too good of a matchup for them, Caps will be able to keep Buffalo at bay so i say the trend of OT games at First Niagara Center remain between these two teams. @ 4 odds it’s a good-value bet in my opinion.

Montreal is in a major slump, not getting the goals or the goaltending needed to win, meanwhile the Bolts are actually playing quite well. I’ve been betting against them a lot this month and it’s been biting me in the ass. It’s hard to realize they’re still a good team despite missing key guys like Johnson and Palat (and Johnson is likely back tonight anyway). They’re a positive team right now, completely opposite compared to the Habs. Montreal scored a total of 3 goals in their last 3 games all on the road, meanwhile Tampa put in 11 goals in their last 3, all at home. If this isn’t bad enough for the Habs, Bishop vs Condon only makes it worse and the fact that Tampa won all 5 regulation meetings last season is just the cherry on top. These two teams have a bit of a rivalry going on making me think the Bolts won’t overlook the Habs despite their struggles. Im going Tampa all the way in this one, @ 2.05 it’s a solid value.

Rangers have dropped 7 road games in a row and have found a bunch of different ways to lose during this road-slump. But at the same time i can’t find anything to back up the Preds either. Rangers and Preds IMO are 2 dead even teams on paper. In a system i use, this game is as confident as a OT-type of game there is, so im definitely going with OT. Surprised at the odds, 4.05 is a great value for such even teams not playing that well going head to head.

The Wild should be playing with an edge tonight. Losing 3 of their past 4 games they can’t be happy with their effort and being a great home team it’s rare for them to lose games in a row. They don’t like Detroit and Kuemper have won all of his last 3 starts so im liking the signs for a hard fought Minnesota win here. Larkin might be out as well for the Red Wings. 2.20 is not bad value

Canucks are battling injuries and it shows on their back end. Bartkowski-Weber-Hutton-Biega-Pedan and Markstrom is net is something you’d see in an AHL game. I know the Kings have not played that great lately and the Canucks have won their past 2 games, but i’ll take my chances and go with the Kings who should be a bit pissed about Refs stealing a point from them in that Coyotes game and losing Jeff Carter to an injury. Kings @ 2.20 is a decent option.

Avs-Sharks is a tricky game and tough to predict. I think both teams are going to be pressing hard for the win based on how their schedule have gone. If i had to choose a winner i’d pick the Sharks but there’s not a lot to go with making 1.93 a poor value. If anything, OT could be an option here as well and im thinking hard about throwing some money on it.
So to recap:
Caps-Sabres X
Tampa
Minnesota
Rangers-Preds X
Los Angeles
Avs-Sharks X
= 635.01

Do you guys lay out on just singles ?

magus1349

Hey guys! I try to make a combo with 4 players who score tonight anytime in the game. I think to put 1/5 unit @ 192 on Nash, Datsyuk, Duchene and D. Sedin.
Better ideas?

My bets, Washington, Rangers and Vancouver vs la ( under 5)

Kommentatoren1995

how did you get 2.36 on rangers on pinnacle? i only get 2.18 there

-NYR moneyline. Odds are awfully high it seem to be for not betting for NY. They havent play since Dec 22 but I beleive they might just come strong from their break since their stats for Dec are terrible. The under 5 might be a good call too.

-Kings moneyline. Can’t see the Canuck win 3 in a row and as long as Kings don’t get too many penalties (which they might). Quick is due for a Shutout…

-Colorado moneyline.(half bet) 2.6 odds, they play last night and lost but Arizona got Lucky. SJS is the kind of team that either play superb hockey or poorly, there’s no in between. Colorado is coming back slowly just like 2 years ago. They are just unfortunate to be in the Central division.

-Detroit/Min over 5. Only 11 games went under 5 for Detroit and almost all against East Teams. Wilds will be either rested and on fire, so that’s alot of goals or too rested and messy which means lots of goals. Dubnyk out.

-I got Washington moneyline. Buffalo is weird and I can see Washington going in that game too confident so I don’t think it will be that easy of a win.

Detroit Red Wings vs Minnesota Wild

Wild to win and over 5 goals.

58.9% computer calculated win % at current price of 1.74 gives a +EV of 2.48%.
Wild ranked 15 places above Wings in my team rating system.
Computer calculated average goals total comes out at 5.3 goals.

A lot of goals have been flying in in Wings games as they are scoring, but conceding a lot. Wild have capability to score, but lacked goals the last game or two and I think they try to come out and try to break that here.

Plenty of injuries to the Wings squad, while there are none for the Wild, should work in Minnesota’s favour.

Minnesota are scoring slightly more than Detriot on average this season and conceding slightly less on average too.
Wild GF/G = 2.7, GA/G = 2.4
Detriot GF/G = 2.6, GA/G = 2.5
Averages tip slightly over 5 giving the over a slight value.

The Wild have given away far fewer power plays this season than Detroit.

The Wild will want to come back to winning ways after that loss to the Penguins.

Think it will be a very close game, but just swing the way of the Wild. The OT probably has some slight value really too.

Tony

Also agree with these guys for the over 5 in the Habs game
