It was a 1-1 night last night in the NHL.

We had the Islanders in regulation and after a slow start they turned things around with a massive 3rd period to win the game 6-3.

We had Leafs vs Jackets to go over 6.5 and after the first period that one looked like it was going to happen. Unfortunately it just hit 6 even with Sparks in net. Big win for the Leafs there.

The other game of the night was the Habs beating the Panthers 5-3 in Florida with Tatar scoring twice.

It’s Saturday, January 29th and we have a nice and busy day with 15 games on the board. The Wild look to end their 5 game skid in Winnipeg and the Oilers look to end their skid as they host the Sharks.

Should be a good night of hockey.

Jets vs Wild Betting Tips:

Until the Minnesota Wild starts firing again we’ve got to bet against them.

They’ve been a pretty poor team for the last month now and their offense just can’t seem to get going.

The Jets are a solid bounce back team and I’ve got to think will be frustrated after that Flames loss where they were quite unlucky.

1u on Jets in Regulation

Canada: 1.97 Odds at 888 Sports.
USA: Bet at Bovada.
Everyone Else: 1.97 Odds at 888 Sports.

(Odds correct as of 2018/12/29 6:41:38 AM EST but are subject to change.)

Islanders vs Leafs Betting Tips:

This is one of those picks where I just have a gut feeling and feel the need to follow through on that – by taking the Islanders to win.

Seems crazy with Sparks in net last night and the Leafs still winning but the Islanders are no pushover and have some solid road results lately including a win in Dallas.

Just something in my head that says with Leafs winning last night and saving Andersen for tonight that it backfires. Leafs can often show up complacent and I’m hoping that happens here and the Islanders can ride it out. I spent awhile trying to talk myself out of this tip/bet but looking at everything I think I still have to go with it.

I also think the odds especially make this one a play. No surprise it is a very risky however. 0.5u on Islanders to win incl OT/SO

Canada: 3.05 Odds at 888 Sports.
USA: Bet at Bovada.
Everyone Else: 3.05 Odds at 888 Sports.

(Odds correct as of 2018/12/29 6:41:38 AM EST but are subject to change.)

There are also three other plays that I like enough but can’t narrow down to one. With the timezone differences I’m unable to discuss with Scott and go through each one so we’ll go with 0.5u on the following:

Capitals in Regulation: 1.87 at the Kambi books. Sens are without Craig Anderson and now Thomas Chabot which is brutal. Caps are Caps of course and we know there’s some games they don’t show up but they have been playing excellent hockey lately and we have to back them to keep it up.

Stars in Regulation: 1.81 odds at the Kambi books. At home and after their CEO called out Benn and Seguin. I think this has to fire the Stars up here and they go out there to prove a point.

Coyotes to win incl OT/SO if Gibson isn’t playing. 2.55 odds at bet365. From what I read it seems unlikely he will play. Coyotes have a fair amount of losses in the last few weeks but it’s due more to a stuttering offense. They came alive just before the Christmas break and I think they can do it again.

If we have a stinker of a night it is all on me! Let’s hope for a good one. I’m already shaking my head at that Islanders pick but when you’ve got a gut feeling I’ve learned you have to go with it otherwise you regret it big time.
