Only 1 game yesterday.

The Penguins beat the Senators 5-2. Our poll question was who would win this game and the choice was Penguins -1.5 which was the correct answer. If you went with any of the 3 options for the Penguins; a win, a regulation win or -1.5, you would have won.

Malkin scored twice and added an assist while Guentzel scored and added two assists. When Guentzel scored his goal he went into the boards hard and it looked bad. He immediately left the game. For the Penguins they cant afford to lose another of their star players but this team seems to find a way to stay in games despite who they are missing.

It’s New Year’s Eve. Today we say goodbye to not only 2019 but a decade. Since 2010 we have had 5 different teams win a Cup. The Blackhawks won 3, the Kings and Penguins both won two and the Bruins and Caps both earned a Stanley Cup. I personally am ready to move on from 2019 which has been the worst for me. I lost both of my parents in a matter of 40 days this summer and am looking forward to a new year. I hope you all have a good time celebrating and start off 2020 with a nice hangover.

The schedule is again all messed up. We have a great day today with 13 games but tomorrow we have only one game again. Tomorrow’s game is the Winter Classic which will be played outdoors at the Cotton Bowl between the Predators and the Stars.

Bruins vs Devils Betting Tips:

The Bruins have won 3 in a row and will look to make it 4 against a team they seem to have success against. This will be the 3rd meeting between these teams this year and the Bruins have won all 3.

The Devils have had a tough year. They have shown some signs of life but it is a long road ahead of them if they want to make a push for the playoffs.

With the Bruins success against the Devils I am going to go with them here. I usually would be going with them -1.5 or with at least 1 unit but they are without Krejci and McAvoy so I’ll just go with a regulation win and a half unit.

Bruins win in regulation – 0.5u

Panthers vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:

The Panthers have won 2 in a row and have gone 6-4 over their last 10. This will be the first game back in Columbus for Sergei Bobrovsky since being a member of the Panthers.

The Blue Jackets have lost 2 in a row but now face a real hurdle with Joonas Korpisalo expected to miss a couple of weeks. He has been the Jacket’s MVP so far this season.

For the Jackets they are expected to go with Elvis Merzlikins in goal. He has yet to win a game at the NHL level. This year he is 0-4-4 with a 3.41 GAA and a .889 save percentage.

With him in goal I have to go with the Panthers to win here.

Panthers win incl OT/SO – 0.5u
