Had 2 tips yesterday and went 1-0 with a push.

The win was the Bruins in regulation against the Avalanche and the Bruins won 4-0.

Also had over 6 in the Rangers vs Knights game but this hit exactly 6 when the Rangers won 5-1. This was tied 1-1 after the 2nd but thankfully the Rangers scored 4 in the 3rd to hit 6 and give us our money back.

The Sabres destroyed the Jackets 9-4. Thompson went crazy is this game scoring 5 times including 4 in the 1st period. He’s only the 2nd Sabre to do this with the other being Dave Andreychuk back in 1986.

The Oilers beat the Coyotes 8-2 with McDavid scoring twice and adding 2 helpers.

Only 5 games today and that sounds perfect to me.

Kings vs Leafs

The Kings have gone 4-3-3 over last 10, the Leafs have gone 7-0-3.

The Leafs are coming off of that big 4-0 win against the Stars which they did on the road. Samsonov is starting for the Leafs and he has gone 7-2-0 with a 2.09 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

I like the Leafs and would need to take them in regulation but the 3 losses in their last 10 happened in overtime which has me put off of that play.

Predators vs Lightning

The Preds have won 3 in a row 2 of them on the road but are still 5-6 as the away team. The Lightning are 7-3 over last 10 and are at home where they have gone 8-4-1.

It’s tough to bet against a team on a 3 game win streak but it’s the Preds who I find are a tough team to predict.

Three of the Lightnings last 5 games were wins but 2 of them they came in overtime which has me put off of a regulation play and forces me to skip this game.

Wings vs Panthers

The Wings have won their last 2 games and the Panthers lost their last. The home and away records for these teams is pretty close with the Wings 6-3-2 as visitors and the Panthers 6-2-3 at home.

The Panthers are the favorites for this game and it’s the 1st home game since November 26th. 2 of their last 3 games at home have needed extra time which has me worried about the regulation play that we would need to take.

Jets vs Blues

The Jets are 7-3 over the last 10 games and seemed to, for at least 1 game, have heard what Bowness said to the media and had a good start to the game in their last outing. The Blues are 4-6 over last 10 games and have gone 5-6 in St. Louis.

The Jets have climbed into 1st in the Central but the Stars are tied with them in points but have played more games.

This is a tough game to predict and the odds show that. I have to skip this game.

Senators vs Stars

The Sens are 5-5 with 2 of those 5 wins coming in OT. The Stars have lost 2 in a row and I’m sure are eager to get back on the ice after taking that 4-0 loss to the Leafs.

The Stars are at home and a win would bring them to 2-1-1 on this road stretch. After this game their schedule gets tougher with games against the Wings, Pens, Devils, Caps and Canes.

The Stars should take advantage of being at home and win before the schedule gets harder for them.

Congrats to Boston and Buffalo (NHL goals FOR leader), who in yesterday’s games became the first two NHL teams this season to reach 100 goals scored. Thompson had quite a night, a very rare night when Daryl Sittler’s 10-point record looked in serious danger of being surpassed! Will Thompson become a serious points tornado in the league? I do wonder. His shots were accurate, he’s big and fast. Good playmaking by the whole team.

To WIN moneyline: Winnipeg and Dallas
To WIN puckline: Winnipeg
Jason Robertson OVER 3.5 shots
Jason Robertson OVER 1.5 points
Lean: Jason Robertson OVER 0.5 goals

I agree with Scott, Dallas is in a situation they should come out of the gates to win this. St. Louis has had one day rest after a back-to-back, and Winnipeg is rested and on a serious roll, with a strong positive response to their new coaching. Add to that, the puckline win/loss record of these two teams recently makes a 2+ goal differential seem likely. Jason Robertson’s shot count is over 3 in many games, and the typical game for both Dallas and Ottawa will have a lot of shots.

My tip today: All home teams -1.5 except Blues.
