6 games yesterday and I had 1 tip.
I had the Rangers to win in regulation against the Canucks and they did 6-4. This was closer than I expected but thankfully the Rangers scored an empty net goal to win it.
The Leafs beat the Hawks with ease 5-2. Nylander opened the scoring 9 seconds into the game and Matthews scored in his return after missing 5 games with a sprained knee.
The Coyotes beat the Lightning 1-0 in a shootout, the Wings beat the Oilers 5-4 in a shootout and the Sabres offense came back when they beat the Ducks 7-3.
8 games for us tonight.
Canadiens vs Hurricanes
The Habs have won 3 straight but are still 12 points back of the Caps who are in 8th.
The Canes are 8-1-1 over last 10 and are 7 points back of the league leading Bruins.
At home the Canes have gone 17-6-2, they rank 3rd in shots on goal, 1st in shots on goal allowed and 7th in GAPG.
I have to skip as I like the Canes but would need to take them -2.5.
Jets vs Jackets
The Jets have won their last 3 games and are only 2 points behind the Stars who lead the Central and the West. The have a game in hand on the Stars and a win here would put them in 1st.
The Jackets continue to fall. They have gone 3-5-2 and are in last place overall.
Ya the Jets should win this game. The Jackets have had 3 of their last 8 games need extra time and we would have to take the road team Jets here to win in regulation. I feel safer just skipping this game.
Panthers vs Capitals
Both teams aren’t playing very well at the moment.
The Panthers have gone 5-4-1 and are currently in 10th in the East, 2 points behind the Caps.
The Caps have lost 2 in a row and 4-6 over last 10.
Ovechkin lost his father yesterday so he won’t be back for this game as he mourns his loss back in Russia.
I can’t back either team here so I have to skip this game.
Bruins vs Predators
The Bruins have had such a great season. They have gone 40-8-5 this season. They are ranked 2nd in GPG, 6th for shots per game, 1st in GAPG, 7th in SOG allowed and have the top penalty kill.
The Predators are 6-4 over last 10 and in 10th in the West. They have lost 2 of their last 3.
Anytime the Bruins play you have to at least consider taking them. They only have 8 losses in regulation this season.

Devils vs Blues
The Devils are playing great at the moment. They have gone 7-1-2, are ranked 6th in GPG, tied for 4th in GAPG and 4th in both shots and shots allowed per game.
The Blues have won 2 in a row but are 4-6 over last 10. They rank near the bottom of the league in GAPG, shots on goal and penalty kill %.
The Devils are the best road team in the league going 20-3-3 which is really something.

Wings vs Flames
The Wings have won 4 in a row and are 7-3 over last 10 games. This win streak has helped them climb to within 4 points
The Flames are 4-4-2 over last 10 and are in the final wild card spot.
The Flames are at the point where they need to go on a run or they will see themselves out of the playoffs and fast.
They are at home here and need to take advantage of that and pick up a win. I would lean towards a Wings win with the way they are playing but the Flames are desperate for points so they could and should show up here.
Flyers vs Kraken
The Flyers are yet again slumping. They have dropped 2 in a row and are 3-4-3 over last 10. The rank near the bottom of the league offensively and around the middle defensively.
The Kraken are in 3rd in the Pacific but only 2 points behind 1st. They have gone 4-4-2 over last 10
The Flyers road record of 11-9-7 isn’t far off of the Krakens home record 13-10-3. I would have to take the Kraken in regulation to get any value and 2 of the Flyers last 3 games needed extra time so I have to skip.
Sharks vs Knights
The Knights will come into this game rested having had 3 days off between games. They have won 3 straight and are in 1st in the Pacific. The Kings are only 1 point behind them.
The Sharks have gone 4-4-2 over last 10 and are 16 points out of the playoffs.
I do like the Knights chances here but they are without Thompson so that’s a huge loss for them.
