It was quite the night of hockey last night. The Buffalo Sabres pulled off quite a shock with a massive 4-0 win against the Jackets. Lehner stepped up big time for the Sabres, while Korpisalo had a bad night in net and was responsible for all 4 goals.

The goalie situations are always interesting – Korpisalo has basically had the #1 spot for a few weeks now. McElhinney comes back and suddenly the pressure gets to Korpisalo and that happens.

I was correct that the Devils defense would have a bounce back game. Unfortunately it didn’t matter because the Islanders scored early and then the Devils just couldn’t get a goal.

The Canucks in regulation bet was always a risky one but it was looking good after the 1st period. Flames bounced back for a big win though. I’d much rather lose it that way, than have the Canucks win in OT.

We had an earlier tip I posted today of Lightning vs Penguins Over 5 Goals. I might have to start doing that often on Saturdays because it’s quite fun to be doing the tips while actually watching hockey.

As I write this Tampa break the deadlock with a goal. 1-0. 4 more needed for at least the push!

Our sportsbook of the day is 888 Sports who have the best odds on pretty much everything we like today. Their current special is treble the winnings on your first bet.

Capitals vs Devils Betting Tips:

No surprise that the Capitals are pretty heavy favourites here. Devils of course are really tight on defense at the moment and have the 4th stingest defense on the road.

Capitals have won the last 5 games against the Devils however and I expect them to make it 6. Capitals going up against such a sturdy defense should motivate them.

Admittedly a lot of the Capitals results lately they haven’t covered the handicap. But I do like them to do that here against a struggling Devils offense.

Capitals -1.5.

Canada: 2.20 Odds at 888 Sports.
USA: +115 Odds at BetOnline..
Everyone Else: 2.20 Odds at 888 Sports.

Oilers vs Avs Betting Tips:

The Oilers offense have been pretty solid at home since McDavid returned and are usually good for a couple of goals.

And Tampa score – 2-0! Nice easy goal and props to Stamkos.

Iggy looks to be returning to form and he’ll be up for this game tonight. The Avs offense can be a weird team on the road – sometimes they look like they can’t help but score and other times they struggle. But against the Oilers it should be the former.

Over 5.5 Goals.

Canada: 1.95 Odds at 888 Sports.
USA: -106 Odds at BetOnline..
Everyone Else: 1.95 Odds at 888 Sports.

Experimental Betting Systems:

(Will try and update the stats of these this weekend)

1st Period System: Devils 4.50, Blues 2.85.

Overtime: Panthers/Jets 3.80.

Lines taken from 888 Sports.

Americans: Bet 1st Periods at BetOnline. or Bovada.

Alrighty – I’m off to crack a beer and watch the rest of the Penguins vs Lightning game. Have a good day guys and enjoy the hockey. And I’d recommend at least registering at 888 Sports as they mail out a decent amount of reload bonuses etc.

Im only going to go for moneylines tonight for a bit of a safer round, and experimenting if it’s the way to go in the future as well.
I’ve had like 5-6 perfect nights since the all-star break, but the 10 or so other nights have been unusually bad, like really bad. Not much point in huge winning nights if you lose half of it the next day.

Tonight the goal is to win every single bet.

I’ve got one pick i feel REALLY confident about and that’s the Bruins. Normally i’d pick them in regulation, but i already made my mind about going for moneylines only. Bruins are underrated when they’re full healthy and to be honest the Stars aren’t that much better. They have a decent edge on defense, but the Bruins offense is very good and can compete with the Stars offense. Lehtonen & Niemi is one of the worst goalie tandems any playoff team has. I’d even go as far as to say neither of these guys are legit #1 goalies in the NHL anymore. Rask >> Niemi/Lehtonen, and i can see Tuukka having a big game tonight. Boston is a great road team and they have to be mad after the lackluster Preds game. Meanwhile the Stars have lost 2 in a row and have more pressure to get back to the win column.

Also really like the Flyers to beat the Leafs tonight. It’s not going to be easy by any means and could go to OT, but im very confident the Flyers will win it eventually. The Leafs roster is just so bad and the Flyers aren’t going to half-ass this through this game as they need the W badly.

Surprise bet for you i have the Coyotes. I’ve REALLY like what i’ve seen them lately and their young guys are ready to take on anybody. Meanwhile i just can’t see the Blues getting fired up for this game. They’re on a 4 game winning streak, are a lot better than the Yotes & on the road. Blues have won 6 straight meetings but you know what ? Double D’s Domi and Duclair will strike them down tonight 😀

I made a 9-game parlay with the moneylines to test out my luck.

Pens
Red Wings
Caps
Flyers
Panthers
Bruins
Preds
Coyotes
Avs

Good luck !!

Which betting site do you guys use. And do you have to go perfect to win the money. And also how many events do you have to play

SanDiegoBruinsD

Jump on Flyers before the line changes: ML, PL, O2.5 and -.5 first. Bernier is in goal and TML are an injured joke (sorry Leaf fans)

Johnny Hockey

Stars vs. Bruins – Over 5 or/and Both to score 2 goals

Value Bet Methods

Evening from the UK
Tonight I like – Caps, Bruins and Blues. Good luck

Okay here we go for another Saturday night!!

Wings/Sens is a tough game to call. Both teams seem to work against my picks, but I do like the WINGS to take this game. The value is decent and Mrazek is playing fantastic right now.

I’m going with the FLYERS -1.5 right now. I think the Leafs are just missing too many guys and starting with Bernier won’t make things any easier.

I would take the CAPITALS at home every day of the week and twice on Sundays, however the value just isn’t there to place on. Its a pretty safe bet, but a lot to risk for little gain.

I like the PANTHERS -1.5 at home. Jets are hurting, Luongo is back (and rested) and they’ve got to get back on track.
I don’t know about the Bruins/Stars game, but with how well

Boston has been playing on the road, and the Stars struggling a little right now, I am going with the BRUINS

LA/Nashville is another tough one to call as both teams play a good defence-first style of game, so I think it would be safer to go with the UNDER.

Coyotes have gone on a bit of a run lately and are looking good. St. Louis comes in looking to move closer to the Stars in the standings so I see this game being a bit of a goal-fest. I’m going with the OVER.

Most games with Edmonton have gone OVER and I don’t this this one being any different. The Avs will come to town and look to score some goals with Iggy and the Oilers are always good for a couple.

Good luck tonight!

Canucklehead

5-3 … Leafs played better than I expected, Oilers worse than I expected …
