Went with the Rangers to win in regulation against the Jets but the Jets came ready, never trailing, scoring the 1st three goals and won 4-1.

The Panthers beat the Ducks 4-3 in overtime. The Sharks beat the Kraken 4-0 and the Flyers beat the Flames 4-3. It seemed like a night for the underdogs to come through.

The Bruins beat the Sens 3-1 with Pasta scoring twice and the Isles beat the Pens 4-2 in a big game that now has the Isles ahead of the Pens in the standings.

9 games tonight and quite a few are mismatches which makes tipping them hard to do.

Canadiens vs Devils

The Devils are favored here and rightfully so.

They are better than the Habs in all stats, have won 2 in a row and have gone 7-2-1 over last 10.

The Habs have gone 4-5-1 and lost their last 2.

We would have to take the Devils -1.5 which is ok but the odds for that are just barely over our minimum so I have to skip.

Wings vs Capitals

The Wings have gone 7-3 in last 10. They are only 4 points out of the playoffs and will need to continue playing they way they have to get themselves in.

The Caps have lost 4 straight and it couldn’t come a worse time. They are fighting for a playoff spot and Ovechkin will miss his 4th game as he is with his family in Russia following the death of his father.

With the way the Caps are playing it would seem like a smart play to bet on the Wings. But the Caps have to show that they can play hockey without Ovechkin as he’s going through a tough time right now and they owe it to him to win a game.

Blues vs Hurricanes

The Blues have thrown in the towel on this season. They have traded O’Reilly, Tarasenko and Acciari. They have gone 3-7 over their last 10 and are coming off of a blowout loss against the Sens.

The Canes have won 3 straight and are 9-1 in last 10. They are ranked top 10 in most of the major stats with the only exception being the power play where they rank 22nd

As expected the Canes are favored here and we would need to take them -1.5. I think they can cover that but the odds are only around 1.75 which is too low when we are betting on them to win by at least 2.

Ducks vs Lightning

The Ducks lost a close one last night in overtime against the Panthers.

The Lightning have lost 2 in a row and have had 2 of their last 3 and 3 of last 6 games go to extra time.

Im not taking the Ducks and we would need to take the Lightning to win -2.5. With their play of late I just can’t do it and the odds make this a pass for me.

Leafs vs Sabres

The Leafs lost their last game against the Hawks when Kaner put on a show but had won the 2 before that. They didn’t look very good in that game and I expect a better effort from them here.

The Sabres have won their last 2 games and still have a shot at making the playoffs. They are 3 points back of the final wild card spot. They will need to do what they’ve averaging done for most of the year and that’s to score a pile of goals and hope their opponent can’t keep up.

Both teams have scored 13 times over their last 3 games. The Leafs will have a better effort this game and the Sabres have to keep scoring so let’s go with the Over here.

Kings vs Wild

Big game here.

The Kings have won 4 straight and are in 2nd in the Pacific. They are only 1 point behind the Knights for division lead but have played one more game than them.

The Wild are now in 4th in the Central and are in the 8th wild card spot with 65 points. The Avalanche have passed them and are now in 3rd in the Central with 67 points and have a game in hand.

The Kings can move into 1st in the Pacific with a win and a Knights loss so they need to play well. The Wild need a win to tie the 3rd place Avalanche for points.

I could see this game going either way.

Canucks vs Predators

The Canucks won their last game and it was the first win for goalie Artus Silovs. It was a good team effort from the Canucks and it snapped their losing skid at 3 games.

The Preds are such a tough team to try and predict. They have gone 5-5 over last 10 and are 26-22-6 this season overall.

I would say the Preds should win this game as the Canucks have are started to dismantle their team but I just don’t have the confidence in that after the Canucks last game.

Knights vs Blackhawks

The Knights are in 1st in the Pacific but certainly aren’t comfortable there. They have 72 points and the 2nd place Kings have 71 and the 3rd place Kraken have 70. Even the Oilers who are in 4th and hope the first wild card spot have 68.

The Hawks had a big win against the Leafs but that game felt personal for Kane and he took the team on his back and got the win. It was kind of a shot at Dubas for making his move and taking the players from the Blues.

With the Knights in need of points and on a 5 game win streak this game should go their way. But as the road team we would need to take them -1.5 and I can’t do that

Flyers vs Oilers

The Flyers have gone 3-4-3 over last 10 and currently sit in 13th in the East.

The Oilers have lost 4 in a row and are in 7th place.

The Oilers need to gain as many points as they can as they need to get back into the top 3 in the Pacific. But with the way they have been playing over their last 10 I’m not comfortable taking them and we would need to take them -1.5 so I’m skipping.

Strong leans I’m still debating:
Third Period OVER 1.5 goals: Tampa game
WIN on reverse puckline: Kings at +1.5 goals
Win moneyline: Carolina (parlay bait)
Full game OVER 6.0: Nash/Canuckleheads

Regular Lean: Full game OVER 6.0: Sabres/Leafs

Some serious mismatches on the board. Tampa and Leafs I always consider extra risky. Kings are playing well, so I don’t understand them as underdogs. In 13/20 of these two teams last 10 games combined, 13 have been 1-goal differential results. LA has beaten Minnesota twice already this season.

Least likely to bet on the Tampa game. Odds aren’t great for that bet and Anaheim may be shut down.

I didn’t understand the Kings price either when it opened. It has been bought down though so I left it alone.

Tks for the tips.
You até fantastic.

Avelino

Tks both for the tips!

CAr -1.5 and TB -1.5 parlay +155
don’t really like parlay’s but getting plus money on that one isn’t too bad.

TB Hedman to score +340
Long shot. Low expectations. I think Point has best chance to score. Stamkos right behind him. Both going off at minus money.

Edm McDavid to score -180
Hate the high odds which I expected would happen. Would love to take home to score more than one goal but my book is only allowing that with a same game parlay not as a solo bet on its own. Small chance it could be Hyman instead but still going with McDavid here.

Nice play on Jets last night!

DeNaposD

Thanks I appreciate it. Although to be fair, if you told me ahead of time I could have the team that took 51 shots or the team that took 21, I probably would not have liked my chances so much lol.
