Only 2 games yesterday and it was another day where we weren’t comfortable in having a tip.
As expected the Lightning beat the Red Wings 5-1. The Lightning scored 3 goals on 5 shots and the Wings pulled Greiss after that. The Lightning coasted through the rest of the game to hang on for the win.
The other game of the night was the Bruins vs the Flyers. This was a great game which I thought it would be. Pastrnak scored only 12 seconds into the game and the Bruins held that lead into the 2nd. In the 2nd the Flyers scored to tie it. In the 3rd the Flyers scored twice only to have Pastrnak score his 2nd and 3rd of the game, the last coming with 15 seconds left, to force overtime. Bergeron scored to win it for the Bruins and to add to his already amazing game Pasta picked up an assist on the goal.
We have 8 games scheduled for us. The amount of games keep shrinking with teams postponing games due to players and the Covid 19 list. There are three games postponed for today.

Coyotes vs Blues
This game we discussed and couldn’t come up with a reason not to take the Blues.
They have won 4 in a row and had only one of their wins go to overtime. The last game these teams played it was one of the best performances of the season for the Coyotes but they still came up short.
The only real plus for the Coyotes is that in the two leg games they have had, against the Ducks and Sharks, they have lost the first leg but then won the 2nd game. But the Blues are a much better team than either the Sharks or the Ducks

Capitals vs Rangers
The Caps come into this game after a loss but had won 3 straight before that. The Rangers just beat the Penguins but the Pens haven’t been the powerhouse we are used to seeing.
Vanecek has been good playing as the starter with Samsonov out but has let in quite a few goals. Lucky for him the Caps can score goals with the best of them. Ovechkin is back and Kuznetsov shouldn’t be out much longer.
The Rangers D is a mess and although they did rid themselves of the DeAngelo mess thats only going to hurt the team on the ice as DeAngelo was terrible in the dressing room.

Stars vs Blue Jackets
The line is 5 again. I wanted to take over last time but got nervous due to the metrics (Stars were very similar to the Blackhawks) and backed away and kicked myself for doing so.
The Stars are ranked #2 in GPG with 4.14 and Pavelski has been a beast. Laine made his Jackets debut last game and although he didn’t get any points he did lead the forwards in ice time. Now that he’s getting more familiar with the team I expect him to get back to being the player he has been.

Note: in between the analysis of this game and writing the betting tip up prior to posting, the line moved from over 5 to over 5.5. Our initial analysis of this game is based on the over 5 line as our analysis of the first game still holds strong.
