1-1 last night with a push.

I tipped the Oilers to continue their strong play against the struggling Habs and sure enough the Habs scored early and often and they won 5-1.

Had over 5 in the Caps vs Devils game and this hit exactly 5 when the Caps won 3-2 in a shootout.

The last tip was over 5 in the Islanders – Red Wings game and the Wings won 5-1.

A slow day of hockey with only 3 games and they all start early so they’ll be finished before the Super Bowl starts.

Grand Salami Betting Tips:

The Grand Salami is a number that represents the total number of goals scored by all teams on the day.  You choose if you think that the total number of goals will be over or under the number.

The Grand Salami for today is 16.5. So we need each game to hit 5.5.

With the teams playing tonight the Over seems like a good bet.  The Caps, Flyers, Oilers and Islanders can all score and the Habs can get lit up at times or like last night can score with ease.

Grand Salami Over 16.5

Happy Superbowl Funday!

Despite there only being 3 games there are some interesting things to watch today. 5 of 6 teams played yesterday and with dead legs and second string goalies playing the end of the b2b you never know what you’re going to get.

Canes ML – After blowing out the Oilers the Habs will have a let down and Canes have a day of extra rest. Canes have averaged 4+ goals in last 4 games and Ward will keep Habs to 2.

Canes/Habs over – Canes have been a goal scoring machine of late and Montreal is good for at least 2. Push at worst.

Flyers/Caps over – Flyers are going to come out with a high compete level after yesterday’s close loss vs NYR and Caps have so many offensive weapons. Add in two second string goalies and 5+ seems pretty plausible. I could see the Flyers winning this game, but I’m on the sidelines with the ML.

Oilers/Isles under – both teams have ability to score but they are each on 3rd game in 4 days and on b2b so I see dead legs and a low scoring game. Greiss is no slouch, Nilsson is, well….My site doesn’t have team totals up yet but I’d jump all over Isles O2.5 if it’s available without too much chalk.

Superbowl prediction – I can’t believe the line is only -5 right now. I see Panthers beating Denver by 7+. Their O line will control Denver’s rush and CN will have a field day. This is one game that Denver’s defense will not win. Cats are a lock in red zone. Cats defense is ranked among NFL’s best and PM looked pretty bad against the Pats. Cats 31 Denver 17

good luck boys
