We had the 2 tips yesterday and we went 1-1.

We had the Islanders to beat the Rangers. The Isles were up 4-0 in the 3rd. The Rangers scored twice a couple minutes apart but the Isles held on for the 4-2 win. The Islanders are getting a much deserved break now. The played 7 games in 11 days and now dont play again until February 1st.

Our loss was over 6 in the Penguins vs Flyers game. This game got off to a slow start with no goals in the 1st. The Flyers scored twice in the 2nd and added an empty net goal late and the Flyers won 3-0. The Penguins looked off here, they took only 19 shots.

For our poll question yesterday we asked which team would win between the Panthers and Blackhawks? The top 2 answers were Blackhawks win including OT/SO and Panthers win including OT/SO both having 30% of the vote. This was a close game and it was Florida coming out winners 4-3. It was coach Joel Quenneville’s return to Chicago. The crowd went crazy for him showing him love after he guided the Hawks to 3 Stanley Cups.

The Knights vs Bruins game was a close one where these teams traded goals but it was Boston scoring the last and picking up the 3-2 win.

Justin Williams, in his second game since returning, scored twice for the Hurricanes when they beat the Jets 4-1. Williams has been a huge boost for the Canes. He scored the shootout winner in his first game and added a pair last night.

A slow night with only 2 games and then we move onto the All-Star break. There will be no regular season action until Monday, January 25th.

No tips today. Neither of the 2 games offered any value and nothing jumped out at me.

I was leaning towards the Jackets as they have been amazing gaining at least 1 point in 19 of their last 21 games. But one reason I’m staying away from this game is Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins. The kid has been awesome but how long can he keep it up? The Jackets have won 6 straight but I still can’t back them.

The Red Wings vs Wild has shitty odds. The Wild are heavy favourites but have gone 3-6-1 over their last 10. I just can’t find any value in betting the Wild with their inconsistent play and it would need to be Wild -1.5 to be worth it.

Be sure to check and post in comments and we will be back on Monday.
