Well the All-Star break is over. By looking at the results of the last poll, it looks as though over half of our readers didn’t watch any of it. It’s something that I wouldn’t miss when I was younger, especially the skills competition, but have lost interest in recent years. It is great to see the women taking part in it though as they don’t get near the respect they deserve.

The Pacific division won the All-Star game. They beat the Central 10-5 and then the Atlantic 5-4 in the final. Pastrnak won MVP of the game despite being on the losing team. He scored 4 goals and added 2 assists.

Barzal beat McDavid in the fastest skater competition, Binnington won the save streak, Slavin won the Accuracy contest but that was a mess thanks to the new digital targets. Canada beat the USA in the women’s 3 on 3 game, Weber won the hardest shot with a 106.5 mph blast and Kane won the new event Shooting Stars.

The world lost Kobe Bryant yesterday when his helicopter crashed. 9 people died including Bryant and his 13 year old daughter. Such a tragedy. Mamba was one of the best to ever play the game. As a huge fan of Shaq I watched Kobe play a lot. Also got to see him drop 81 points on Canada’s only team the Raptors. Just an incredible ball player. Thoughts go out to Vanessa who lost her daughter and husband.

Well we are back to business as usual. We have 6 games scheduled for us today. Its about a month away from the trade deadline and it will be interesting to see the moves that are made. What does your team need and will they do anything to help themselves or ride what they have?

Maple Leafs vs Predators Betting Tips

The Leafs limped into the All-Star break losing 5 of their last 6 games. They have falling out of the playoff picture. They need to turn things around and fast before the season gets away from them. This team has to much potential to be sitting where they are in the standings.

The Preds also find themselves on the outside of the playoffs have won only 4 of their last 11 games.

This should be a good game and wouldn’t be surprised if it went Over. But I am going to take the Leafs here as I feel they are due for a run.

Leafs win incl OT/SO – 0.5u
