Two tips yesterday and we went 1-1.

I went with the Flames to beat the Red Wings in regulation and they did when they won 5-3. This was the Wings 6th loss in a row.

I also had over 5.5 in the Oilers vs Coyotes game but this didnt come through when the Oilers won 3-1. McDavid did his part though scoring twice and adding an assist.

The Canucks beat the Sens 4-3 in OT and Petterson scored his first career hat trick. This kid is incredible and now has 22 goals and 42 points in 37 games this season. The next closest rookie has 25 points. The Penguins picked up their 7th straight win when they beat the Rangers 7-2. Seguin scored twice and Benn scored once when the Stars beat the Devils 5-4.

Canada was eliminated in the World Juniors last night by Finland and this will be the first time that Canada won’t win a medal on home soil. This was a crazy game and Canada had plenty of opportunities to win it, including a penalty shot and an open net but congrats to Finland. Switzerland also won beating Sweden 2-0. Sweden is an amazing teams in the preliminary rounds going 48-0 since 2008 but 13-15 in medal rounds.

A decent day of hockey with 8 games and a rare Maple Leafs afternoon game in there too.

Maple Leafs vs Wild  Betting Tips:

A rare afternoon game here for the Leafs. The only question I have about this game is the goaltending situation. Andersen is on injured reserve and now Sparks is out after Wednesday’s practice. The Leafs acquired Michael Hutchinson from Florida and it looks like he will get the start in this one. Thankfully for Hutchinson, the Leafs are coming off of a piss-pore effort on Saturday against the Isles and they will be looking to get back on track.

The Leafs will rally around their new goalie I’m guessing. The Wild are 3-6-1 over their last 10. The last time these teams played it was a 5-2 Leafs win on December 1st.

Capitals vs Blues Betting Tips:

The Caps are 8-2 over their last 10 and Ovechkin hasnt scored in 6 games. The next time he scores he will join Mike Gartner as the only players in NHL history to score 30+ goals in the 14 years to start their career. Truly amazing.

The Blues have lost 2 in a row and are in last place overall in the league. Over the last 10 games against the Caps they are 3-6-1.

With the way the Blues are playing its hard to have any faith in them. Plus the Caps are flying

Lightning vs Kings Betting Tips:

The Lightning have been scoring all season and are the number one ranked offense averaging 4.13 GPG. The have won 6 in a row and have gone 9-0-1 over their last 10.

The Kings havent been very good this year. They are in 8th in the Pacific and 29th overall.

The Lightning are heavily favored here and getting just above 1.70 for a regulation win. So I’ll go with the Over for this one.
