A winning night for us last night with the tips as we went 2-1.

We had the Panthers to beat the Flames which they did 6-2.  The Panthers have won 4 in a row.  Over this 4 game win streak the Panthers have scored 24 goals.  It’s hard to beat a team who is scoring so much.

Our other win was the Jets to win in regulation against the Coyotes.  The Jets won 3-1 for their 3rd win in a row.

I went with the Avalanche -1.5 against the Hawks and it started out good.  The Avs were up 2-0 after the 1st but the Hawks stormed back scoring 3 of their own.  The Avs tied it to force overtime.  Makar scored the winner for the Avs in OT and if you haven’t had a chance to see that goal then be sure to find it as it was a filthy one.

A slow day of hockey with only two games.  I don’t mind that though as my kids all started their online learning again today so I need to be able to help them and all 3 have schoolwork to do so I am a teacher today before work.  And our 16 year old family cats health has taken a turn for the worse and we need to have her put down today.  Always a tough thing to do but something we all know we may have to do when we get an animal.

Oilers vs Maple Leafs Betting Tips:

This normally would be a good game but I have to skip it.  The Oilers have a bunch of people out with injuries and McDavid now has Covid,  the Leafs got dealt their own hit as Matthews has Covid.

With 2 of the best hockey players on the planet out with Covid I feel it’s best to avoid this game.  With the way the Oilers have been playing I would lean towards a Leafs win but to get any value we would have to take them -1.5 and without Matthews I can’t back that.

Blues vs Penguins Betting Tips:

Quite a game here.

The Blues have won their last 2 games and have gone 7-1-2 over their last 10.  The Penguins have won 8 straight and are at home where they have won their last 4.

I would like to say that the Penguins will ride their momentum and win this game but this is only their 2nd game back after the Christmas break.  Malkin is still out and Carter has Covid.  In their first game without Carter they beat the Sharks 8-5 but the Blues are a much better team than the Sharks so they will have their work cut out for them here.

I’m skipping this game.

Scott, I’m sorry about your pet, a tough day for your family when you lose a good friend and member of the family.

That Makar goal was…Wow!

I’m on STL tonight but you’ve got the right calls on both games.

There’s some good value on the NJD when they get some key guys back. Keep an eye on them.

I’m riding the Heat in the AHL, they’ve been bank for weeks. Stay away tonight though bc Wolf is likely not in net.
