An 0-2 night last night unfortunately.
Habs vs Sabres was fairly tight for awhile and then the Sabres just pulled away in the 3rd out of nowhere. Similar xG throughout – the Habs just could not get past Levi.
Disappointing from the Canucks who scored early, then just looked completely flat. I had to double check I hadn’t misread something and they were on a B2B.
Rangers got the W in regulation and were able to cover the spread. Pens did end up getting the win I thought they might although it was close. Big win for Tampa.
Capitals vs Hurricanes:
Caps with that nice win over the Pens but then thumped by the Devils. Such a weird team this season. Canes on a nice run. These two played on December 17th and the Caps won 2-1 in a shootout.
Canes are always a powerhouse in the metrics, and this one checks all the boxes. There’s really not much else to say – you sometimes get these games where all the metrics point one way, and there’s no reason to overthink it.

Canes in Regulation
Devils vs Blackhawks:
Devils -2.5 would have to be the play. A bit similar to the Rangers where if they win in regulation they generally cover but man they been inconsistent af lately. The Devils have been leaky in net. Won’t be surprised if they cover, but I like it less than I did the Rangers yesterday.
Ducks vs Jets:
Eh with the Jets on a B2B, and some tight games, happy to pass. Based on the metrics though, Jets are a solid in regulation play.
