Our final writeup about the play-in rounds is the Jets vs the Flames.

This is going to be a great series and as a Canadian at least we are guaranteed a team moving onto the next round.

This could end up being the best series of all the play-in series we have. I feel like it will be filled with the rough stuff and goals. Tkachuk going hard to the net will give them issues I’m sure.

The odds for the Jets to win the series is 1.95. The odds for the Flames to win the series is 1.83.

Jets vs Flames Series Betting Tips

The Jets had a decent year going 37-28-6 for 80 points. They finished the year in in 4th in the Central Division and held the first wild card spot. The Flames went 36-27-7 for 79 points and finished in 3rd in the Pacific Division. Since they are in different Divisions the Flames were in the playoffs as top 3 teams from each division make the postseason despite having fewer points then the Jets.

They only played once during the regular season. They were scheduled to play two more games but it didn’t happen with tbe season being cancelled. They played only once but it was a good, close game and it was also the Heritage Classic. So it was an outdoor game with the Jets winning 2-1 in overtime back on

At forward I have to give the edge to the Jets. The Flames have some great players. Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan had down years. Elias Lindholm and Matt Tkachuk will be needed to pick up the slack if the other two continue to slump. The Jets have Wheeler, Scheifele, Conner and got a good bounce back year from Patrik Laine. The Jets had 4 players with over 60 points when the Flames had only one, Tkachuk.

On defense the Flames win big time. They have Giordano, Hamonic, Brodie, Hanifin, Andersson and Gustafson which is an incredible top 6 to have on Defense. The Jets lost Byfuglien, Myers and Trouba and have only Pionk and Morrisey left.

In goal the Jets have the edgw. Hellebuyck is one of the nest goalies in the league. The Flames went with basically a two goalie approach. Rittich played 48 games and put up decent numbers and if he hits a rough patch then they have Talbot there who is turned into a strong backup.

Conclusion: This has the potential to be a long series and I wouldn’t be surprised if it went the distance.

Tough to pick a winner for this series and I’ll go with a game by game approach which I feel better doing then trying to pick a winner in whats sure to be a close series
