The Canes beat the Devils 4-2 and the Devils are now 1-4 over last 4. Tarasenko scored twice and had an assist for the Panthers, his first points since joining them, and they beat the Flames 5-1. The Lightning beat the Flyers 7-0 with Raddysh getting 5 assists and Duclair getting one of each in his first game with the Lightning.
The Preds beat the Jackets 2-1 and are 9-0-1 in last 10. The Rangers got back on track snapping their losing skid at 2 games when they beat the Blues 4-0. The Leafs beat the Canadiens 3-2 I had mentioned I liked them to win in regulation which they did. I also liked the Oilers to beat the Sabres in regulation but the Sabres won 3-2 in a shootout.
5 games today and with most of the teams playing yesterday its tough to find any tips.
Oilers vs Penguins Betting Tips:
The Oilers played the Sabres yesterday and lost. The Pens also played and lost against the Bruins 5-1.
The Oilers are 5-3-2 last 10 and on a 2 game losing skid. The Pens are 4-5-1 last 10 and also on a 2 game skid.
With both playing yesterday and the recent play of both its an easy pass.
Predators vs Wild Betting Tips:
The Preds played the Jackets yesterday and won 2-1 in a close game.
The Wild are 2-2-1 in last 5.
The Preds have won their last 6 road games. They have better Corsi numbers, GF, GA, XGF and XGA. They’re also ranked higher in GPG, shots and GAPG.
On the road the Preds have gone 19-10-2 and at home the Wild are 15-12-4. This is the 4th and final meeting between these teams with the Preds winning the last 2.
With the Preds playing yesterday I’m a little worried but with the Wilds struggles I think it’s worth it.

Flames vs Hurricanes Betting Tips:
Flames lost badly yesterday to the Panthers 5-1.
The Canes beat the Devils 4-2 and are 7-2-1 in last 10.
If not for both playing yesterday I would take the Canes here but I’ll skip instead.
Coyotes vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
This is an easy pass.
I’m mean if forced to pick a winner here I’d say the Coyotes but they have 3 wins this month and had zero last month so no thanks.
Islanders vs Ducks Betting Tips:
The Isles have won 5 in a row. One reason why I’m not betting on them is their road record. As the visiting team they have gone 13-12-5 and we would have to go in regulation.
The Ducks just aren’t a backable team. Their home record is awful going 10-22-1 in Anaheim.
I’m wary of teams that made much roster change recently, because they haven’t had much time to give new players practice sessions with their new teams or get through their first game to iron out introductory wrinkles. Not much today, but these look interesting:
To WIN moneyline: Nashville and Islanders

Lean: Oilers win decisively ML, probably PL, maybe -2.5 or -3.5
The Pens lost Jake Guentzel to Carolina (who look like a monster team now, after the trades they made) and now have a VERY shallow offensive talent pool. They were consistently doing poorly anyway. Oilers always show up for this matchup, and the Oilers have great scoring depth and a much improved talent for defense. Both teams on back-to-back and with the Pens and Oilers going in two very different directions, Oilers getting two days off before playing the Caps at home, these two points go west. If the Oilers “click” even at an average level, this could be a wipeout.
Nashville isn’t reporting any injuries right now, and is looking at two days off before playing a very challenging Winnipeg (who recently added Monahan and Toffoli!). The Nashcasters are a finely tuned monster and should clean up the ice against a Wild team that look very out of tune when up against the better half of the league.
I’m no expert on the Islanders, but they’ve been playing much better than Anaheim. Islanders are off 2 days off here, and play LA tomorrow, so gathering today’s 2 points should be a priority. Islanders have won 5 in a row and their defense looks terrific. Their Wild Card (or better) intentions should be in full force here.
Edmonton Bouchard to score +480
Could matchup well vs Jarry. 6 goals on 53 shots from inside center blue line and 3 more of his goals have come from 34 shots from a midrange area where Jarry is posting some of his lower Save Percentage Totals from. I would still rate this a low expectation play, but the price gives decent value for Bouchard.
As far as the game itself, it feels like the Penguins price at +146 has gotten too high. Especially if Rust who’s currently a game time decision can give it a go. I’ll take a shot on Penguins for the price I’m getting them at.
