Had two tips yesterday and we went 2-0.   There was a few upsets that happened too and thankfully we avoided them.

Took the Leafs -1.5 against the Kraken.   This was a close one but thankfully the Leafs scored an empty net goal with less than a minute remaining to pick up the 6-4 win.  Matthews had a hat trick and leads the league in goals with 43.

Also had Over 6 in the Capitals ve Flames game and the Caps won 5-4.  Ovechkin scored twice and is now tied with Jagr for 3rd on the all time goals scored list with 766.

The Coyotes came alive in their game against the Red Wings when they won 9-2.  Schmaltz had another big game with 2 goals and 2 assists which gives him 11 points in his last 2 games.

The Flyers beat the Knights 2-1, the Devils beat the Avs 5-3, the Sens beat the Blues 4-1, the Jets beat the Lightning 7-4.  Overall it was a wild night of hockey.

Only 2 games tonight.  I couldn’t come up with a tip for either game.  Below I’ll go over each.

Capitals vs Oilers Betting Tips:

The Caps played last night and are now on a 3 game win streak,   the Oilers have lost their last 3.

The Caps can match a season high win streak if they can take this game.  The Oilers need to get back to scoring goals as they have scored 3 goals or less in 7 of their last 8 games and have gone 2-5-1 over those 8.

With the Caps playing last night you have to wonder if they will be tired.   On games with no days rest they have gone 3-3-0-1.  It would seem like a safe place to take the Oilers but with their play of late and not being able to score goals I don’t have any confidence in them either.

Canadiens vs Canucks  Betting Tips:

Both teams are on 2 game win streaks and both have the same record over their last 10 going 7-3-0.

Either team has been very good this season.  The Habs are in last place in the Atlantic Divison, Eastern Conference and the league.  They have been a better team with St. Louis as coach but still aren’t an intimidating team to face.  The Canucks still have a shot at the playoffs but they need to play perfectly for the remainder of the season to get there.

The Canucks are favored here so we would need to take them in at least regulation but that is only 1.71 so not worth it.  I don’t have enough confidence in them to take them -1.5.

Full game OVER 6.0: Habs/Canucks

It could be argued that Montreal is playing for something more important than the Stanley Cup; their self-esteem as players and a team in the first place, after a LONG time out of the picture. The recent trip through the playoffs was a freaky situation that can’t be repeated. They are about eliminated from the playoffs this year, but are playing very strong with their new coach. Vancouver has a clear chance to get in the playoffs and needs points where they can be found. I expect two full-on efforts, and that means a lot of shots. Can’t pick a side.
