An excellent betting tips day yesterday, as both myself and Scott had the same picks and both came in. Playoffs continue to be absolutely glorious betting tips wise. have to love it.

The Panthers handed out a thumping in Boston with the big 6-2 victory. Oilers vs Canucks was a banger with the Oilers grabbing it in OT.

Today we have two games with the 3-0 Rangers looking to wrap it up, and the 1-1 Stars/Avs in a new venue as Colorado take home ice advantage for that series.

Let’s get to it:

Hurricanes vs Rangers Game 4 Betting Tips:

Scott: Well I clearly underestimated the Rangers.

I had picked the Canes to win the series but they are now on the verge of getting swept.

When the Rangers swept the Capitals I didn’t think that was a good example of just how good this team is with the Caps being so bad. Well now they have the Canes on the brink and can sweep this series like they did in the first round.

Shesterkin has just been an animal. After making 54 saves in the double overtime win he picked up another 45 in game 3.

I don’t know what else to say. I’ll admit I was wrong on this series. I know the Rangers have all but won the series but surely the Canes can win one game right?

No Bet

Graeme: This one came down to the odds for the Rangers on this one. And at 2.25ish it’s not enough for me to play.

You can’t back the Canes. I mean, they have tried their hardest and you have to think Shesterkin can’t keep it up as much as he has. But mentally, they could have checked out.

I’ve got my Rangers to win the series bet, and quite happy at that. I would say this one is probably 5/50 so there’s value on the Rangers. but Gentlemans sweeps seem to be common enough to possibly negate that. No Bet.

Avalanche vs Stars Game 3 Betting Tips:

Scott: The Stars had another multi goal lead but this time held on for the win. They were up 4-0 and the Avs answered with 3 of their own in the 3rd. They pulled the goalie but the Stars scored to take the 5-3 win.

The Avs need to find a way to not have to start playing until they’re down by multiple goals. It’s nice to see that they can make a game of it but it would be better if they don’t have to play catch up.

With game 3 in Colorado I’m sure the Avs will use that to their advantage as the home crowd will let them hear it if they don’t.

Avalanche win incl OT

Ontario: 1.74 Odds at Sports Interaction
Canada: 1.74 Odds at Sports Interaction
USA: -135 Odds at BetOnline.
Everyone Else: 1.74 Odds at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv

(Odds correct as of 2024/05/11 9:54:16 AM EST but are subject to change.)

Graeme: The Avs converted two of their high danger chances in Game 2, although it wasn’t enough. Interestingly, the Stars held them to their lost HDCF of the playoffs thus far. And actually, their joint 10th worst HDCF for the season. Wonder if that’s an anomaly, or if the Stars defense have it figured out.

Looking just at the data for this series – Corsi & Fenwick are practically the same. Stars better xGF, but Avs the better SCGF.

This is all very close. Dallas at 2.15 is just too low for me. I’d actually get on them at 2.25 I think. No Bet

Full game OVER 5.5: Dallas/Colorado
OVER 2.5 shots: Tyler Seguin
OVER 0.5 points: Wyatt Johnston
Anytime Goal Scorer: Nichushkin….(x2.65)
Parlay Bait: Rangers on Reverse Puckline +1.5 (x1.45)
Lean: Full game OVER 6.0: Dallas/Colorado

Goal scoring remains up in Round Two, so props are on the table tonight.

Nichushkin has been getting at least a point per game almost uniformly, yet only 2 assists in the last 10 games, the rest are goals. Wyatt Johnston (#53) is an offensive dynamo and racking up points for Dallas at a worthy pace for wagering on. His pattern is that he’s not held off the scoreboard for two games in a row and he was in the last game, while the goal count remains up. Seguin has gone over 2.5 shots for 7 games in a row.

Rangers/Carolina: both teams have been taking penalties and yet the specialty team situations are polarized opposites; Rangers are running at peak performance and Carolina is about worst in the playoffs and they aren’t showing signs of adjusting. I have to think the Rangers win this tonight, so with the ongoing pattern, the reverse puckline of +1.5 looks like free money. Rangers on the moneyline is running at about x2.20, which is very attractive.

I WISH there were bets on penalties or penalty minutes per player. Benn loses his cool in the playoffs and I’d bet he gets at least one penalty, and two is in the range of possibilities. Two high flying teams causes regular play infractions that are almost impossible to avoid, leading to more goal opportunities, tempers and need for composure, which escalates as the game proceeds.
