Well the Hellebuyck return arc disappeared after one game, as the Dallas Stars blew the Winnipeg Jets out 5-2 to take the lead in the series.
The Jets will be looking at tieing that up before heading to home ice.
The Leafs were hampered with penalties, but it really felt like a slow and sluggish performance as they lost to the Panthers. Both goalies played really well. Such a spicy series and I’m loving it.

Hurricanes vs Capitals Game 4
Scott: Svechnikov got the scoring started in the 2nd period with his 6th of the postseason and it was all Canes after that.
They again outshot the Caps but this time had no troubles scoring against Thompson who allowed 4 on 28 shots.
Now with game 4 still in Carolina the Canes have a chance to tie the series up at 2-2 and make it a best of 3 series.
Strome has been a big piece of the Caps success with 10 points in 8 games and will need to continue to be. He’s had a shot in each of the last 4 games and before that he had counts of 2, 2 and 3. After getting shutout they should all be angry.

Graeme: Canes are just looking the much better team across the board. Goaltending is certainly a big factor though with an xGA/60 of 2.82 but GA/60 of just 2.29. However the Caps have been similar.
Think I am happy to back Canes in Regulation again. Definitely wouldn’t rule out Washington but the Canes

Oilers vs Knights Game 4
Scott: Perry scored twice to open the scoring in game 3 and the Knights scored two of their own less than a minute apart to tie it up heading into the 2nd. Karlsson was the lone goal scorer in the 2nd. McDavid scored with just over 3 minutes left. Smith scored with 0.4 seconds left on a shot that deflected in off Draisaitl’s stick to give the Vegas Golden Knights a stunning 4-3 victory. 0.4. It’s the third-latest regulation game-winner in Stanley Cup Playoff history, following Jussi Jokinen in 2009 (0.2 seconds) and Nazem Kadri in 2020 (0.1 seconds), per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
I expect the Oilers to feel screwed over by the clock and they need to get a multigoal lead so a late one like that won’t feel as deflating as I’m sure it did

You guys see Bisonette go off on his podcast about Marner? Sheesh!! I still think the leafs PP unit is unbearable and needs change BUT whatevs…
Leafs looked so sad and tired lastnight, goaltending was definitely amazing to watch.

Leafs: Matthews seems to have gone golfing, which he does annually at this time. I never understand the attacks on Marner when Matthews is a ghost. Marner should demand a trade, or demand Matthews be traded, or demand that all Toronto area NHL media be traded, or start his own team.

I couldn’t agree with you more. When Matthew was injured away sick licking his little baby this season Marner was a friggin star. Let Marner shoot and the guy is a fan but when he is there, he just feels the need to feed him.
