I feel vindicated – or is it justified – after last nights Capitals vs Panthers game.
I’ve tipped Capitals Draw No Bet 3 separate times in that series to go 1-1-1. The reason for doing so was because I had dived into the OT data for those two and really felt if it went to OT, it’d go the Panthers way. So it was nice to see that happen.
I just wish I had remembered to bet on it! It was such a silly thing but I was so invested in the Panthers winning just to justify my analysis that I forgot to even bet on them in OT ha.
So that series is wrapped up. Scott went with Panthers winning in 5 which didn’t happen, while I called the over 5.5 games in the series correctly.
It’s Game 7s galore. So many! Let’s get to it:
Bruins vs Canes Bets:
Scott: The Bruins had another strong home game and have forced a game 7. Each game if this series has been won by the home team and with ease.
With that being said the Canes come into this one as the favorites to win and advance to the next round.
If the Bruins were to win this series they had no choice but to win one on the road and now is their chance to do just that. Bit it’s tough to bet against the way this series has gone.
I picked the Canes to win the series, I guessed it would take 6 games which didn’t come through, so I’m going to still back them here.

Lightning vs Leafs Bets:
Scott: The Leafs came back from being down 2-0 to have a 3-2 lead after the 2nd. Kuch tied it to force overtime where Point won it.
With game 7 being in Toronto I’m sure you’ll be able to hear the crowd from your front step as it’s going to be chaos there.
I was reluctant to take the over in game 6 and looking back I really should have. This is sure to be a great game. The Lightning want to continue on their quest for a three-peat and the Leafs are looking to advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs for the 1st time since 2004.

Graeme: Yeah this one is going to be MENTAL. I think the Leafs take it honestly and break their hoodoo but I also hope they don’t haha. I’m not going to take the over in this one. Call me crazy but I see Campbell having a clinic tonight. Just a gut feeling.
Honestly as I’m watching this game, I’m personally going to beat Leafs -1.5. Will make it easier to deal with if they win in a big way. I also think there is enough in them that they can deliver that.
Kings vs Oilers Bets:
Scott: The Oilers had Kane scoring twice when they won game 6 to force a 7th game. The Oilers were up 2-0 only to have the Kings tie it less then a minute into the 3rd. The Oilers scored and added an empty net goal for the 4-2 win.
Home ice hasn’t really played a huge role in this series as it has in the Bruins – Canes but the crowd will be loud for this one.
I really have no idea who wins this game. The Kings never give up so they should be able to keep it close if they lose. The Oilers should win this game but I have no confidence in them at the moment.

Graeme: The Kings don’t deserve to be such dogs. They’ve came to Edmonton twice and got the win. That’s gotta be concerning for Oilers fans.
Honestly I expect the Oilers to win. I’m still disappointed there wasn’t good odds on over 5.5 games for this series considering the high expectations on the Oilers. But I do think there is enough value on the Kings here that they are worth backing, even if my heart says the Oilers win. Kings incl OT

I like the OVER for the Carolina and Toronto games but get a very unsettled feeling looking at the Oilers game, for the side and the normal Over/Unders.

What a weekend of great hockey! I want to see those home crowds on TV in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, and hope to see Canadian teams advance to Round Two, something rare for many years now.
