An absolute thrill ride of a game last night.

The Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead early, thanks to two power play goals. The Ducks however scored a few minutes later, then Perry scored late in the 2nd. After a goalless 3rd period, we were headed to TRIPLE FREAKING OVERTIME.

It was an amazing game, and we thankfully got the correct betting pick in with the Blackhawks to win. Although honestly by the time Triple OT hit we were happy with any result that would get us to bed earlier.

Despite the amount of goals, goaltending was the story of the night. Two streaky goaltenders; both of them stepped up big to have some massive saves in a fantastic game. Also had to love the header goal! Pity it didn’t count because that was AWESOME.

Tonight sees Game 3 of the Rangers vs Lightning. After 2 games in New York, they are tied 1-1 and go to Tampa Bay.

Scott: Rangers will tighten up in this one after the Lightning went off last game winning 6-2. Having a tough time trying to predict a winner of this game.

Of the 14 games the Rangers have played in the playoffs, 10 of them had a total of 3 goals or less.

The Lightning have had a couple games in these playoffs where they go off and score a bunch of goals. And each time they do, the game after is a low scoring one. So let’s go with that.

Under 5 for 1.74

Graeme: The story of Game 2 was the power plays, and that’s something the Rangers need to work against. Tampa went 2-2 at home against the Red Wings, and 2-1 at home against the Habs. Rangers meanwhile, who were a tremendous team on the road during the regular season, went 2-0 in Pittsburgh but 1-2 in Washington.

I think Rangers know what to do – don’t give away as many penalties! It’s a huge game for the Rangers and if they can stop the power play or at least lessen its impact, they should be able to take this. I do like the Under bet as well, but I’ll go with the risker Rangers win at 2.20 odds at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..

The experts say that stats can help determine the outcome of a game but ultimately the game is played on ice. True, but I think you guys are right on both picks. Every time TB won a high scoring game in round 2, it was followed up with a tight low scoring game. Picking NYR to win Graeme may be riskier but the stats are definitely in your favour. Lundquist has an excellent record of ‘bouncing’ back after a high scoring loss and he gave his team mates the ‘evil’ eye in game 2 so I would expect a better effort from them. Good luck guys!
