The third shutout in four games for Skinner. Incredible!
After all the flack he takes, it is nice to see. The Stars had their chances too. The Oilers have now tied the series up and can take home ice advantage.
There’s something about a goalie redemption arc that is always so awesome to see.
Tonight is Game 3 of the Panthers vs The Canes series, as Carolina head to Florida looking to overcome the odds.
Scott: That goal that was overturned due to it being offside against the Canes early in the 2nd was a crucial moment as it would have been a 3-1 game.
Aho taking Reinhart out was a tough watch it looked to me like a hip to thigh hit that had Reinhart’s knee all jammed up. Reinhart has been great for the Panthers, and since I picked them to win this series, I hope he doesn’t have to miss much time as he has 11 points this postseason.
Andersen was pulled after the 2nd when he allowed 4 goals on 16 shots. Bobrovsky was his usual solid self making 17 saves in the shutout.
With the Panthers now in Florida for 2 games and scoring 5 goals per game it’s hard not to back them here.
Panthers win in regulation
Graeme: Yeah I mean if Freddie miraculously shows up so be it – and we know it can be hard to win multiple games in a row. See Game 6 for the Panthers against the Leafs. Especially a crucial game like this where they know they can lock things up.
I’m going to go with Over 5.5 instead of Panthers in reg even though I like it – reason is Canes are going to have to make up for their goaltending so need to be a lot more aggressive on offense.
Could this be the first sweep of the playoffs we are going to see!?

The Canes decided to go with Kochetkov if that changes anything for you guys! Although personally, I think Kotchetkov finished off the reg season with a terrible GAA and think he was not great…
The OVER still looks great for this game
They say closing out a series is the most difficult game, but this is Game 3 with Florida at home, the crowd will be animal and Carolina hasn’t shown the capacity to deal with this situation.
Florida wins moneyline, in regulation and probably puckline.
If that’s the case, I’d be much more careful with Game 4 though.
