Oh Carolina.

Sweet, sweet Carolina.

You were there. You had it. Up 2-0 after the 1st. Looking on the edge of a monumental series comeback to bring the series back to 3-2. A huge momentum shift.

Then it all came crashing down.

To be honest it’s not their fault – the Florida Panthers, for all their blemises, are a damn good hockey team. It says a lot about the Leafs that they pushed them to the brink.

Now the Panthers await the winners of the Oilers vs Stars series. Which could be decided as early as tonight as the Dallas Stars, down 3-1, host the Edmonton Oilers.

Stars vs Oilers Game 5

Scott: The Oilers won again and now have a huge 3-1 lead in the series. After taking the loss in game 1 the Oilers have outscored the Stars 13-2.

I wasn’t sure who would win so I went Robertson over 1.5 shots and he had 4 including the only Stars goal. I picked the Stars to win the series due to the goaltending but Skinner has been good for the Oilers.

At this point with the Oilers having a 3-1 lead in the series it’s hard not to see them moving on to the Stanley Cup Finals for the 2nd year in a row. They are playing well and getting help from the whole roster.

This game is in Dallas though so if the Stars are to show any signs of life it would be here. Granlund is one of the Stars that they count on to help them win games. He has shot counts of 4, 3, 1 and 1.

Granlund over 1.5 shots

Graeme: I’ve been big about the Oilers this series – but I woke up today with my gut saying the Stars.

Problem is – I absolutely cannot take them at the 1.76 odds we’re being offered. That price just plain sucks.

So yeah let’s go with an O/U. Let’s do Evander Kane Under 2.5 shots. He’s made the most of his time on ice lately racking up the shots but I think he’ll go under here. I get Game 1 vibes from this one.

Wow!! What a game ladt night! Had Panthers reg,-1,-2 and thaught it was gone at 2-0, but the resilience if these panthers is 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 applaudable! They have the GRIT to Go anywhere! This is a TEAM.

But tonight I am in a bit of a tailspin!
Dallas Only perform when at home, however Oilers are just on fire and anything they get thrown at they respond – ALSO as a TEAM!
Although Dallas perform well at home, from what I have seen Oilers have the mental upperhand and that I think Will play in their favour. Had it been 2-4 years ago I would never have gone with Oilers in this situation. But they surely have matured! I cant say it Will be in regulation tonight but i think out next match Will be a Stanley Cup final 1/7 😎🏆

Oilers ml, reg,-1 🥳

🥳🥳🥳😎 absolutely nailed these matchups! I love Reading your posts when it comes to the playoffs! And try to evaluate it from my own view 😅 what I like about betting in these playoff series is that games are “all in” games and the reset to the next so losing with 1 goal is irrelevant so Thats why I really like the -1 and -2 bets.
Just did some Quick stats. Only 17/80 (21%) playoff matched have gone to OT. 5/17 OT games came in round 2. And NONE have gone to OT in the conference finals, which for me indicates the ALL IN mentality – Go Big or Go home.
56/80 (70%!!!!) playoff matched have ended with a win with more than 1goal (-1 or more) which also gives the -1 Bet incentive to play. ALL in mentality.
10/10 (100%) conference finals have been wins with more than 1 goal 😎😉

Wooohoo! Let the finals begin! 🥳 see ya in a few days!

Cant make a call on win or total either

Game 1 feeling as well. Feel like Dallas has to show up, control the game somewhat, lots of blocked shots….

Oettinger under 27.5 saves… 3for4 so far this series. Lets GO!
