Apologies for the delay in posting these. I was away in Ottawa for the night – I haven’t even had a chance to watch the games from last night yet. Just kind of caught the brief highlights so I’ll reserve judgment.

Good to see the Leafs get the win over the Panthers though. A big Game 3 in Florida coming up.

Lets’ get right into the Game 2s today.

No odds, my own write-ups will be short.

Capitals vs Hurricanes:

Scott: The Canes were a machine in game 1. They outshot the Caps 33-17 but the Caps stuck to their game plan with Protas scoring early in the 2nd.

The Canes tied it up half way through the 3rd to force OT. It wasn’t long into OT when Slavin scored the winner.

Thompson was amazing considering all the shots he faced but that’s going to be tiring.

Note: Scott had picked Canes win incl OT yesterday when he wrote it up but odds are now unbettable with 1.66 as best

Graeme: Canes were relentless. So many shots, and interestingly restricted the Caps to just 14 shots on target.

Feels like one of those ones where we continue to see that sort of thing and it might not work out for Carolina all the time, but over a best of 7 it will.

Unfortunately at 1.58 odds and the last one going to OT, I don’t think I’ll be able to bet on the Canes much.

So player props it is. I’ll go with Svechnikov over 2.5 shots on goal he has overall in the playoffs been fantastic at racking them up.

Knights vs Oilers:

Stone scored twice in the 1st 10 minutes of the game. From there it was all Oilers. The Oilers held the Knights to just 1 shot in the 2nd.

The Oilers rallied for the 5th straight time to pick up the 4-2 win. It just shows that you can never count them out.

The Knights have to find a way to continue scoring and also get some shots on Pickard. They can’t afford to go back to Edmonton down 2-0.

Knights win incl OT

Graeme Bit of a weird one as while I called how the Oilers/Knights would go – at least after Game 1 – my gut says the Knights adjust and take this one.

But it’s not like they did that against the Wild. I mean they lost two, then barely beat them in the following three.

That last one though it did take until the 3rd period for Oilers to come back and flex their offensive muscle too.

I dunno – gut is saying the Knights here no specific reasoning other than if they take a lead, they’ll hopefully learn what NOT to do from that last game.

Knights win incl OT

Hey guys I have a question about shot props with the sports books.. I tailed Graeme on the Svechnikov shot prop except I took 2 not 2.5.. The Score app I use listed him at 2 and then I went to check my bet slip and it settled as a loss, listing him having 1. I’ve heard a lot of people in the community saying they’d watch a game, see the guy hit ‘x’ amount of shots and the official total was lower than what it should be.

I rarely bet shot props and tend to go with more definitive things like points.. It really turned me off of betting this again. Curious on your experience

Thanks for your insight.. It was at 2 and they changed it to 1. I should have taken a screen shot and bitched to bet 365 lol
