So it is the Boston Bruins who will be facing their longtime rivals the Montreal Canadiens in the 2nd round of the 2014 NHL playoffs. The Bruins dominated the Red Wings yesterday and won 4-2. This is great for Graeme and I as we needed this to happen so he would be back from Edmonton in time for us to go to game 3.

The Penguins won 3-1 and now have a 3-2 lead heading into game 6. It’s still possible for the Jackets to upset the Pens but they will need to win the next two games and against this unpredictable Pittsburgh team that’s a tough task. The Avalanche beat the Wild 4-3 in OT and are up 3-2 heading into game 6 in Minnesota and for the first time in their series the Sharks and Kings stayed under 5 when the Kings dominated the Sharks 3-0. After being down 3-0 the Kings are now down 3-2 and they are at home for game 6.

3 games today. Starting at 12pm ET it’s the Flyers vs the Rangers, at 3pm the Blues vs the Blackhawks and at 8pm it’s the Ducks vs the Stars.

Going to be yet another great day of playoff action so let’s get to the NHL Tips for Sunday April 27th.

Away vs Home: Home Teams -1.5

Some people think home ice advantage is overrated. Well to those people I say have a look at the Western Conference this year in the playoffs. The home teams are 17-3 this year. That’s just incredible.

With that being said we have to like the home teams to score more than the away teams in today’s action since two of the three series taking place are from the West. I’m not a huge fan of the -1.5 spread but still think it will come through for us

Bet that the home teams will score more than the away teams at http://www.Bovada.lv for Americans and http://www.Bodog.eu for everyone else. for 2.10 odds

.

Blues vs Blackhawks: Blackhawks Win

After a bad start to their first round matchup the Blackhawks have won 3 in a row and now head back to Chicago up 3-2 over the St Louis Blues.

The Hawks have momentum heading into this game and with the rabid home fans behind them this should be enough to push them to victory. Also after serving his 3 game suspension Brent Seabrook returns. Seabrook is an incredible defenseman and he and longtime partner Duncan Keith form arguably the best D pairing in the league.

I would love to bet this game to end in regulation, and I will be, but with 4 of the 5 games needing OT I have to go with OT included for my tip

Bet the Blackhawks win at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 1.67 odds

Flyers vs Rangers: Rangers in regulation

With these teams trading wins all series you have to like the home team Rangers to continue this trend.

All along we liked this series to go the distance and we still do. And with news the Hal Gill will be filling in for the injured Grossman you have to think that Gills rustiness will show and will help the Rangers

Bet the Rangers in regulation at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else. for 2.05
