Sorry for missing the tips yesterday. There was only two games on last night: the Leafs vs the Panthers with the Panthers coming away with the 6-4 win and the Ducks beat the Canucks 2-1 in OT.

On Saturday night When we factor in all of the tips it was a nice profitable night as we went 4-3.

The Red Wings Gus Nyquist played keep away against the Sens in OT and scored to win it 3-2. The Rangers picked up their 8th straight win when they beat the Devils 3-1 behind a hat trick from Derek Stepan spoiling Lou Lamoriello’s return behind the Devils bench. Lucic fought Prout again and after getting knocked out in their last bout, Lucic got the decision in this one. The Capitals beat the Penguins 3-0 and during the game Oveckhin hammered Letang and Letang left the game in the third period. Johnny Hockey scored twice in 16 seconds when the Flames beat the Oilers 4-1.

A nice and busy Monday of NHL action with 12 games for us to enjoy.

But before we get to the tips let’s start with some NHL Trivia

BetNHL.ca Daily Trivia:

Answers from the last trivia questions: “Captain Serious” is of course Toews, both for his maturity and reservation off the ice, and his competitiveness on the ice. There are mixed reports on who coined the nickname, wuth some saying it was by Pat Sharp all the way back in 2008 at the World Championships. Toews said however that Seabrook coined the nickname “Mr. Serious” when rooming with him during his rookie season. Then when he became the captain, they promptly updated the nickname to “Captain” Serious.

And Chris Chelios holds the record for most regular season wins. He achieved this feat in Janary 2009 when he got his 880th regular season victory. He ended up with 894.

Todays Questions:

In 2011, GQ Magazine ranked the 25 coolest athletes of all time. One Hockey player made the list. Who was it? Bobby Hull, Derek Sanderson, Jean Beliveau, Jeremy Roenick.

Which NHL player is a Hobey Baker award winner at Wisconsin, the first fourth generation player in NHL history, and the very first NHLer from Tennessee?

And now onto the NHL betting tips for Monday December 29th

Red Wings vs Bruins Betting Tips

The Wings are on a two game win streak and take on the Bruins tonight.

The Bruins have been struggling this season, at least by their standards.

Tonight they will be without Lucic and Bergeron so this is a huge blow to the Bruins

Capitals vs Islanders Betting Tips

Washington has been playing great lately putting together a 7-1-2 record over their last 10.

This is going to be a tough task for the Caps but they managed to come away with a 5-2 win the last time they played each other back on November 28th.

Avalanche vs Blues Betting Tips

The last time these teams played it was the Avs winning with ease 5-0.

The Blues are are in the midst of their longest losing streak of the season at 4 games. They will be looking to snap that skid and gain some payback in this game.

When they play the Avalanche at home, the Blues have won 6 of the last 7 games. I expect the Blues to come out with a strong effort in this one, get back in the win column and gain some revenge against Colorado
