So the streak continues for us and the NHL betting tips as we went 2-1 last night.
We had the Penguins to win against the Blue Jackets and this was anybody’s game up until the third period where the Penguins exploded for 3 goals in their 5-3 victory. James Neal had 3 goals and 2 assists in this game. We also had the Leafs to win and begin a winning streak, which they did, in their 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Phil Kessel continued his strong season with 2 goals bringing his season total to 20. Our loss came when we had over in the Ducks – Sharks game and it looked good with the Sharks jumping out to a 2-0 lead after one. But the goals stopped coming in the Sharks 3-1 win.
Two days left of the Dynasty and I embarrassed myself with this. I think I put way to much thought into it when I was doing my picks. That or the amount of booze I consumed when I was doing my Dynasty picks either way you can See the leaderboard here.
A solid Monday of NHL action for us with 4 games on tap tonight. Caps – Sens, Wings – Preds, Kings – Hawks and the Flyers vs the Canucks. Lots of star power will be on display in tonight’s games.

Capitals vs Senators: Capitals To Win
The Sens have both Jason Spezza and Chris Phillips listed as day to day for this game so right there the advantage goes the Caps way as they are showing no real significant injuries.
The last time these teams played was back on November 27th when the Sens came out on top in the high scoring game 6-4. You would have to think that the Capitals will be looking for some payback in this game.
The Capitals are tied with Detroit and Toronto for 5th in the East with games in hand so the Caps will be looking to take advantage of the extra games they have and turn them into points to separate themselves from the pack.

Capitals vs Senators: Over 5.5 Goal
The Sens have shown that they can score goals and also concede them. When an offense powerhouse like the Washington Capitals come to town you know that the goal light tonight will get a workout.
I still think the Caps come out on top in this one but the Sens will make it competitive for the 1st and 2nd periods until the caps pull away.
This game should end in the 7 – 8 goal range. The Capitals will also be looking to embarrass their next opponent after they themselves got embarrassed last night by losing to the lowly Buffalo Sabres.

Red Wings vs Predators: Red Wings To Win
This is the last game for the Red Wings before they play in the Winter Classic on New Years Day.
Although the Red Wings are incredibly banged up right now they will be looking to gain some points before heading outdoors to play the Maple Leafs and the ice conditions for those outdoor games can prove to be tricky and make those games basically a coin toss.
The Preds are still without superstar goalie Pekka Rinne. But the Wings are without a bunch of players most notably; Franzen, Howard and Weiss. But they still have Datsyuk, Zetterberg and company to carry then to the victory in this game
